IT’S a bright and early start for punters on Saturday thanks to most matches being moved forward due to the funeral of Prince Philip which has resulted in a sports black-out this afternoon.
Lower league matches in Scotland kick-off at 12noon while the majority of games in England have been re-scheduled for 12.30. So lets get stuck in.
Scottish Cup
First out the blocks are Kilmarnock who welcome Montrose for an 11.45 start at Rugby Park in the Scottish Cup. The visitors played less than 48 hours ago, losing 5-0 a Partick Thistle so it’s advantage Killie (1/4) before a ball is kicked.
An all-Premiership clash takes place at Pittodrie where Livi are the visitors for Stephen Glass’ first game in charge of Aberdeen. Dons fan Mark Walker includes a home win at 13/10 in his trio of Scottish bets.
Premier League
In the Premier League Newcastle have the opportunity to move nine points clear of the relegation zone with a win over West Ham. But the Hammers will have plenty to say about that as they aim to cement their place in the top four in the early kick-off. David Moyes has worked wonders this season and confidence must be sky-high so 11/10 on the away win looks a good option.
FA Cup
A place in the FA Cup final is at stake at Wembley when Chelsea and Man City go head to head. Both sides booked their place in the Champions League in midweek and for City an unprecedented treble is still very much on.
This one should be a cracker. Thomas Tuchel has hardly put a foot wrong since arriving the Bridge and in a one-off match you couldn’t rule them out of having the measure of Pep Guardiola’s side. Bet365 make them 13/8 to qualify and as big as 10/3 to win inside the 90 mins.
Championship
In the Championship Norwich can secure their return to the top flight on Saturday. A win over Bournemouth will be enough to ensure promotion and on current form you’d expect them to get the job done at Carrow Road.
MLS
The new MLS season kicks-off in the early hours of Saturday morning in Houton where the Dynamos welcome San Jose Earthquakes. Tolu has previewed the match for us and you can tune in to Freesports to catch the action. Newcomers Austin FC debut late on Saturday night against Bob Bradley’s Los Angeles FC in another match for the nighthawks live on Freesports.
A-League
If that’s not enough we’ve also got the Melbourne Derby covered. City host bottom side Victory in the A-League clash which is live on BT Sport 3 a 10.10am. For a betting angle or two check out Tolu’s preview for this one.
Phew! It’s going to be a busy one. Best of luck!
