Our Acca Tips are mostly on the win-daw-win markets and largely based on statistical analysis of recent performances.
Arsenal v Olympiakos – Over 2.5 Goals
Two excellent wins will have Mikel Arteta’s buzzing for tonight’s match as they look to book a place in the last 8 of the Europa League at the expense of Olympiakos. A 3-1 first leg lead puts the Gunners in a commanding position and they’ll want to build on their terrific 2-1 win over Spurs at the weekend.
The one thing you know about Arsenal is that they’l always try to play on the front foot, even if they’ve a two-goal cushion. It does sometimes leave them exposed at the back and we could see goals again tonight.
A goal for Arsenal would well and truly put the tie to bed and the Greeks could fold like a deck of cards. Alternatively, if Olympiakos can score first it could be game-on, although they do need to score three to stay in the tie.
Both sides showed plenty of attacking intent in the first leg so Over 2.5 Goals looks the best option.
Rangers v Slavia Prague – Both Teams to Score
Allan McGregor pulled off a world class to keep the scores level in the first leg and the return tonight at Ibrox promises more goals as Rangers and Slavia Prague vie for a place in the last eight.
Goals have been flying in for the Gers in Europe (23 in nine) but they’ve been conceding regularly too. Their games in the Europa League are averaging 4.22 goals per match and both teams have scored in three of their four matches at home.
Slavia proved how dangerous they can be away from home in the previous round when they scored twice wihout reply at the King Power Stadium to knock Leicester City out of the competition.
They’ve been the best team in the Czech Republic this season by a country and score goals for fun domestically. There’s no reason why they can’t score at Ibrox too.
Molde v Granada – Both Teams to Score
Molde pulled off one of the shock results of the last round by dumping Hoffenheim out of the competition 5-3 on aggregate but they’ll need to come up with an even bigger result tonight if they’re to dispose of Granada.
The Norwegians are two-goals down from the first leg so need to score at least two just to stay in the tie. You wouldn’t say it’s beyond them though. Although second in Eliteserien they racked up 77 goals in their 30 matches during the last campaign, averaging 2.8 goal per home match.
Visitors Granada have the worst away record in La Liga and have conceded two or more in 10 of 13 on the road. They’ve also conceded two at PSV, Omonia and Napoli in the Europa League.
Molde can get themselves on the scoresheet but their attacking nature could leave them open to a counter at the other end. Granada have scored in each of their last 12 so carry a significant goal threat too.
No More Bets
None of the other Europa League matches catch the eye so we’ll stick with a small treble bet tonight.
