Juventus can take a huge step towards another Serie A title on Monday evening when they host fourth-placed Lazio at the Allianz Stadium.
Maurizio Sarri’s side have a five-point cushion at the top of the table, although they have started to struggle of late.
Pressure Getting to Reigning Champions
Juventus have won the last eight Serie A titles, and they should have the experience needed to get the job done once again.
The likes of Leonardo Bonucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Sami Khedira, Blaise Matuidi and Cristiano Ronaldo know what it takes to get their hands on the trophy, but their recent form is somewhat troubling.
Earlier this month, they travelled to the San Siro to face AC Milan and stormed into a two-nil lead.
Midfielder Adrien Rabiot scored a sensational goal, and Juventus looked on track to cruise to victory. They somehow managed to concede four goals which has proved to be the catalyst for a relative poor run of late.
Juventus have since drawn against Atalanta and Sassuolo although they remain strong favourites at 20/41* to secure all three points.
Lazio also Stuttering in Race for Europe
For the majority of the season, Lazio have been Juventus’ closest challengers, but they have fallen away in recent weeks.
Three defeats in four games have seen them fall down the table into fourth, with Inter and Atalanta now above them.
Simone Inzaghi’s side can still finish second this season, but they will need results to go their way.
The capital club still have five games left to complete, and even though their recent form has been poor, their away performances have been a real highlight.
Lazio have only lost four games on their travels all season while winning nine, and they are 33/20 to win via the double chance market.
Thriller Expected in Turin
Although both sides have lost their mojo, an exciting game should still be expected on Monday evening.
Lazio have lost 81 games against Juventus, more than against any other Serie A opponent. The Old Lady have scored 269 goals past the Biancocelesti, but Inzaghi’s men did win the reverse fixture.
They are looking to record their first double over Juventus in the same campaign since the 2000-2001 season and goals should also be expected at the Allianz Stadium.
Over 3.5 goals have occurred in all of Juventus’ last five matches, while over 2.5 goals have been seen in six of Lazio’s last seven .
Punters can back over 3.5 goals at 7/5 on Monday, while Gonzalo Higuain is one to watch this week, given his previous record against the Biancocelesti.
The Argentinean has scored 12 goals in 10 league games against Lazio, and he is 4/1 to score first.
