Revenge will be on the minds of Rangers fans ahead of the visit of Aris Limassol to Ibrox tonight.
The Cypriots handed the Gers one of their worst results in Europe when they won 2-1 back in September so the blue half of Glasgow will be out to set the record straight this evening.
A win for Phillipe Clement’s side would see them through by virtue of their superior head-to-head with Sparta Prague and they should do it in style in front of an expectant home crowd.
Aris have conceded four at Real Betis and three at Sparta Prague and with Rangers at 3/10 to win it could pay to back them to also put three or more past the visitors at 11/10.
Rangers were the last team to beat Real Betis, 12 games ago (W5 D7), and the Spaniards are 7/4 to win at Sparta Prague tonight. They top Group C on 9 points having beaten tonight’s opponents 2-1 in Seville. They’d no doubt be happy with a draw, which would secure qualification, so best to have the insurance of money back if things finish all square. Betis draw no bet pays 20/21 at SBK.
Brighton have proven they can go toe-to-toe with the best in the Premier League and having lost to AEK at the Amex they too will want to avenge that defeat at 10/11 in Greece.
West Ham should also be good enough to win on the road. Hosts TSC have concede 13 goals in their four games so far, picking up just one point thanks to a 90th min equaliser at home to Olympiacos.
Liverpool can complete a four-team acca on the British teams with a win over LASK. Jurgen Klopp has used the tournament to hand some game-time to fringe players and will no doubt do the same tonight. But his players should be good enough to take the three points against the Austrians.
Aston Villa have been excellent at home under Unai Emery and will be on most accas to beat Legia Warsaw in the Europa Conference League at 2/7. The Poles won the earlier meeting 3-2 but Villa will be out to secure top spot with a with a win of two or more goals. It’s 1.850 on Villa -1.5 on the Asian Handicap.
Double the Villans up with I Viola for a 20/21 Double. Fiorentina host Genk who currently sit 6th in the Belgian top flight and a win for the Italians would tie up qualification before a tricky trip to Ferencvaros in a fortnight.
Molde have qualification in their own hands tonight and look capable of doing enough against Qarabag to secure a place in the knock-outs.
The two teams are tied on six points so as long as the Norwegians can better the Azerbaijan champions’ 1-0 win in this fixture on Matchday 2 they’ll qualify, although Molde are seven goals better off so even a single goal win should be enough.
With a trip to Bayer Leverkusen on Matchday 6 to come Molde will want to tie things up tonight.
It’s been a hard-fought but ultimately fruitless campaign for Aberdeen who are already eliminated from the competition. That won’t stop them going all out for the win in Helsinki tonight.
Temperatures are well in to minus territory in the Finish capital but the 1,500 traveling fans could be warmed by a Dons win at 2/1.
