View our expert’s Goals Accumulator Tips & Predictions for Thursday which features two both teams to score tips and two over 2.5 goals selections.
Our Goals Acca Tips are based on statistical analysis of recent performances.
Toronto FC vs Columbus Crew – Both Teams to Score
Two of the bottom three sides in the Eastern Conference meet at BMO Field, as Toronto FC play host to the Columbus Crew.
Toronto won for the second successive home match last time out, as they defeated Atlanta United 2-1, whilst The Crew extended their unbeaten run to three matches following a 0-0 draw away to high-flying Real Salt Lake.
Bob Bradley’s hosts have found the back of the net in 7/8 of their home fixtures, scoring 13 goals and they’ll be confident of breaching a Crew defence that’s kept just two clean sheets away from home this season.
However, The Reds are the only side in the entire MLS yet to keep a clean sheet this season and whilst Caleb Porter’s visitors might not be the most prolific in-front of goal, I reckon they’ll also net against this leaky Toronto defence.
Seattle Sounders FC vs CF Montréal – Over 2.5 Goals
In-form Seattle Sounders play host to free-scoring CF Montréal in what should be a goal-laden encounter at Lumen Field on Thursday morning.
The Sounders won 3-0 at home to Sporting KC last time out, meaning they’ve taken 16 points from their last seven matches (W5-D1-L1), whilst L’Impact got back to winning ways last time out with a 2-1 success at home to Charlotte FC.
Wilfried Nancy’s visitors are the third-highest scorers in MLS with 30 and given they’ve scored in each of their last seven fixtures on the road, they’ll be confident of adding to that tally against a Sounders side that’s kept just three clean sheets this season.
The Sounders have scored 13 goals in their last five matches at home and with their opponents conceding 28 times already this season and registering just the one clean sheet, we should see at least three strikes in what promises to be an entertaining encounter.
LA Galaxy vs Minnesota United – Both Teams to Score
Two sides who don’t come into this match in particularly good form meet in California, as the LA Galaxy host FC Dallas at the Dignity Health Sports Park.
The Galaxy failed to make it back-to-back victories for the first time since early April last time out, as they needed a late equaliser to draw 1-1 at home to the Portland Timbers, whilst The Loons conceded twice late on against Inter Miami to lose for the third successive match.
Despite their poor recent run of form, Adrian Heath’s visitors have scored in five of their last six and there’s every chance they’ll net against a Galaxy side that’s conceded in each of their last five.
Greg Vanney’s hosts have scored in five of their last six at home and given their opponents have kept just one clean sheet away from home so far this season, there’s every chance we’ll see both of these out-of-form sides get on the scoresheet.
Los Angeles FC vs FC Dallas – Over 2.5 Goals
Western Conference leaders Los Angeles FC play host to the fourth-placed side in the Western Conference FC Dallas at the Banc of California Stadium in what should be a entertaining match.
LAFC defeated New York Red Bulls last time out, meaning they’ve taken 10 points from the last 12 available, whilst Dallas threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 away to Austin in their last MLS fixture.
Nico Estévez’s visitors have netted 11 goals in their last five matches on their travels, scoring at least twice in four of them and there’s every chance they’ll add to that tally against an LAFC side that’s conceded in six of their last eight at home.
However, no side has scored more goals in the entire MLS than Steve Cherundolo’s hosts and given 20/32 of their goals have come at home, there’s a good chance we’ll see at least three goals in California between these two attack-minded sides.
