View our expert’s Goals Accumulator Tips & Predictions for Thursday which features two both teams to score tips, an over 2.5 goals selection and a side to score 2+ goals.
Our Goals Acca Tips are based on statistical analysis of recent performances.
Chicago Fire vs Toronto FC – Both Teams to Score
Two of the bottom three sides in the Eastern Conference meet at Soldier Field, as bottom side Chicago Fire play host to 12th-placed Toronto FC.
Ezra Hendrickson’s hosts failed to record their third successive win at home, as they threw away a two-goal lead to lose 2-3 to the Columbus Crew, whilst TFC conceded in stoppage-time to draw 2-2 with the San Jose Earthquakes.
Bob Bradley’s side remain the only side in the entire MLS yet to keep a clean sheet this season, whilst The Fire have registered just two clean sheets in their last 12.
This fixture has a history of goals, with both sides scoring in 16 of their last 18 meetings in the MLS and given how vulnerable both sides are defensively and their need for three points, there’s every chance we’ll see both sides net in this fixture once more on Thursday morning.
Minnesota vs Sporting KC – Over 2.5 Goals
Minnesota United will look to keep up their impressive recent run of form, as they play host to Sporting KC at Allianz Field on Thursday morning.
Adrian Heath’s hosts recorded their third consecutive victory with a 1-3 win at the Vancouver Whitecaps last time out, whilst SKC got back to winning ways with a 1-2 win at CF Montréal in their last league outing.
Peter Vermes’ visitors have scored in four of their last five on their travels, scoring on multiple occasions in three of those and will look to trouble a Minnesota defence that’s conceded in each of their last 11 MLS fixtures.
The Loons have scored in eight of their last nine in the league, scoring three goals in each of their last three and they’ll be confident of keeping up their recent goal-scoring form against a SKC side that has the worst defensive record away from home in the entire MLS.
FC Dallas vs New York City FC – Both Teams to Score
Two sides who are not in a particular great run of form right now meet at the Toyota Stadium, as FC Dallas play host to New York City FC.
Nico Estévez’s hosts conceded in the 11th minute of stoppage-time to draw 2-2 with Texan rivals Houston Dynamo last time out, whilst Nick Cushing got his first MLS win as manager at the fifth time of asking, with a 4-2 success over New England Revolution.
The Pigeons have found the back of the net in 13 of their last 14 MLS fixtures, as well as each of their and will be confident of breaching a Dallas that’s without a clean sheet in their last nine.
The Burn have found the back of the net in 8/9 of their home fixtures, scoring 16 goals and I reckon they too will get on the scoresheet against an NYCFC defence that’s conceded 11 times in their last five matches.
LA Galaxy to Score 2+
Two sides at opposite ends of the Western Conference table meet at Dignity Health Sports Park, as LA Galaxy play host to San Jose Earthquakes in the California Clásico.
The Galaxy lost 3-2 away to LA rivals Los Angeles FC last time out, whilst the San Jose Earthquakes grabbed a last-gasp equaliser away to Toronto FC last time out to draw 2-2.
That was just the third point the Quakes have managed from their nine away fixtures last time out, with them being one of three sides yet to win on their travels in MLS so far this season.
Greg Vanney’s hosts have scored 11 goals in their last four matches in-front of their own supporters and look a good bet to bag a brace against a Quakes defence that’s conceded on multiple occasions in seven of their nine away tussles.
