In the great big game of poker that is the Premier League relegation battle, the Burnley board have blinked with just eight games remaining.

Sunday’s point against West Ham could really have been three and tonight they welcome Southampton in another must-win match at Turf Moor. Burnley’s run in will give them hope that they can turn things around, of their remaining fixtures only two are against teams in the top half (Spurs & Wolves) so there’s plenty of opportunites to pick up points.
Southampton picked up their first win in seven at the weekend against Arsenal thanks to an inspired Fraser Forster performance. The Saints were under the cosh for most of the game but showed good resilience to take the three points.
But the Saints are comfortably mid-table and Burnley’s need is much greater and that could provide the edge in tonight’s clash. The bookies don’t have much between the side with Bet365 going 5/6 on either side in the Draw No Bet market.
This will be a game that Burnley are targeting three points from and they can be backed at 13/8. Despite being managerless the squad don’t need reminding whats at stake and can claim their fourth home of the season.
