Neil Lennon’s Omonia Nicosia gave Manchester United a bit of a scare last midweek before the Red Devils eventually came out on top but things should be a little more straightforward at Old Trafford tonight.
At 1/14 it’s hard to find any kind of angle on United. Even on the Asian Handicap you’d need to be backing them to win by four clear goals to get close to even money. However, corners could be the way to go. Omonia managed just one in their other away match in the Group, a 2-1 defeat at Real Sociedad. The Spaniards managed six and in a game that we should expect United to dominated they should win the corner count with a bit to spare.
On the Asian Handicap Corners you can get 1.825 (slightly better than 4/5) on United -3.5, so they’d need at least four more corners than their opponents for us to get paid out.
Union Saint-Gilloise could be worth a look at 11/8 to beat Braga. The Belgians won in Portugal last week and another win would all but secure top spot.
Things could be tighter in Group F where all four teams are on four points. Sturm Graz took a hammering 6-0 earlier in the group and could be in for a long night in Rome. They held Lazio to a 0-0 draw last week but will no doubt find things tougher in Italy.
Lazio (2/5) currently boast the best home record in Serie A and have scored four goals in four of their last seven outings. Lazio/Lazio on HT/FT market pays 21/20.
A Dutch Double of Feyenoord at home to Midtjylland and PSV at home to FC Zurich looks a solid option. Feyenoord lost an equalizer with 5 minutes remaining in Denmark last week but should claim the three points tonight. PSV have already put five past FC Zurich and will expect a comfortable night at the Philips Stadion tonight.

Two heavy home defeats have left Hearts with an uphill task to qualify for the knock out stages in the European Conference League. They were totally outclassed by Fiorentina last week and are a massive 22/1 to win in Italy tonight. I Viola lost 4-0 at home to Lazio at the weekend but their form at the Stadio Artemio Franchi has been steady and the home win looks nailed on.
In the same group Basaksehir should have a comfortable night at home to Group A strugglers RFS. The Latvians held the Turks to a surprise 0-0 draw last week but it should be a different story this evening in Istanbul.
West Ham can secure qualification with a win after last week’s 1-0 win at Anderlecht. A strong Hammers side should be good enough to make it four wins from four.
Another team with a perfect start so far are AZ who top Group E and travel to Cyprus to play Apollon Limassol. The Dutch side top Eredivisie and remain unbeaten this season.
