TEAM WE vs ROGUE WARRIORS LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREVIEW
Rogue Warriors will face the team formerly known as World Elite on Tuesday during Week 4 of the League of Legends Pro League (LPL) 2020 Spring Split in what promises to be a great fixture between two mid-table Chinese sides.
Team WE enter the week with a 3-3 record next to their name. So far this split, they have defeated Victory 5, ViCi Gaming and Dominus Esports but failed to see the same success against JD Gaming, Royal Never Give Up and FunPlus Phoenix.
Although Team WE are very much a mid-table team, they are still one of the most interesting Chinese LoL squads to watch. Jiang “beishang” Zhi-Peng and co. have become known for stomping weaker opponents but falling flat against the top teams in the LPL. Given they have only played in clean sweeps so far, it seems that every game is all or nothing for Team WE.
Team WE sit ninth in the league standings, which puts them right at the edge of the playoffs line, but we wouldn’t get our hopes up just yet. They still have a lot more to prove before they will be regarded as serious playoffs contenders, and defeating teams such as Rogue Warriors should be their priority.
Rogue Warriors started their 2020 season with a fifth-eighth finish at Demacia Cup 2019 but have failed to show anything spectacular in the LPL Spring Split, where they’ve lost to eStar, Oh My God, Invictus Gaming and LNG Esports and managed wins against Suning, EDward Gaming and Victory 5. That 3-4 record puts Rogue 12th in the league standings, one win short of reaching the top half.
Rogue Warriors’ most recent fixture took place on Sunday when they swept Victory 5, handing them their sixth defeat of the season and cementing V5 as the worst team in the LPL after three weeks of play. Sunday’s series was one-sided throughout, with Rogue closing out both games with a substantial kill and gold lead.
Kim “Crazy” Jae-hee was consistent in the top lane, Wang “WeiYan” Xiang proved to be a huge nuisance with his constant roaming pressure from the mid lane, and the bottom lane tandem of Mei “ZWuJi” Hong-Hui and Le “Ley” Yi had a decent showing, although we expected ZWuJi to be a bit more aggressive.
TEAM WE vs ROGUE WARRIORS LPL SPRING SPLIT BETTING PREDICTIONS
Team WE enter Tuesday’s match as heavy favourites at $1.52 with 888 Sportsbook, while Rogue Warriors sit at $2.42 for the outright win. That makes sense, as Team WE showed much more than Rogue in the opening three weeks of the season.
The problem is Team WE’s aggressive playstyle, which can sometimes backfire. They can stomp all over the weaker teams, but they often crumble once faced with a squad who know how to take advantage of opposition mistakes.
Rogue Warriors might have failed to show anything spectacular so far, but they are not overly aggressive and know how to punish their opponents’ errors, which is why they should be able to keep Team WE on their toes and push this series into three maps.
