Not much to look at on Wednesday’s card but we do have the penultimate round of matches from the Swiss Super league and there is certainly lots to play for.
The battle for Europa league qualification will going right down to the wire with 6 clubs all battling for 2 European places. Incredibly just 4 points separate the 6 sides and its the match between two of those sides involved I’ll be focusing on tonight.
Lucerne vs FC Zurich (KO 7pm)
This is a stadium I’ve actually been to having travelled there to watch St Johnstone in the Europa League a few seasons ago and I’m hoping for more happy memories
Both these sides are level on 43 points and neither can afford any slip ups here. 3 points is an absolute must for both teams with just 6 points left to play for this season.
The hosts have found their shooting boots in recent weeks and have scored 7 goals in their last 2 games at home. Zurich have been poor on the road and have conceded 2 or more goals in 8 of their last 11 away games
Its a huge game for both sides and its hard to see either keeping a clean sheet – 6 of the last 7 meetings have seen both sides score and that should lead us to at least 3 goals tonight
Recommended Bet
- Over 3 match goal Asian Handicap (Stake back if three goals)
- 9/10 (William Hill) (NAP)
There’s also 8 matches from the Japanese Cup at 11am that’s worth some small stakes for a goal in the first half and over 1.5 goals
