What a day for our racing tipsters as both Rizzel and Cairnzy’s main tip, Coach Rambler, stormed clear to win the 2023 Grand National!
It was another victory for Scottish trainer Lucinda Russell, going off at 8/1, to add to her 2017 winner, One For Arthur.
Both Rizzel and Cairnzy talked up the horse in their previews and it duly obliged for its syndicate of owners. Well done if you backed it or one of our tipsters’ other horses that placed in the race. Fantastic stuff 👏
Despite holding a three-point lead with eight matches to go the bookies rate Arsenal second favourite to win the title.
Manchester City are piling on the pressure week after week but so far the Gunners have responded. Although last week’s 2-2 draw at Anfield might have felt like points dropped it’s kept Mikel Arteta’s side’s noses in front and there’s no doubt he’ll be looking ahead to a title showdown at the Etihad in 10 days’ time.
It’s crucial that Arsenal go there still ahead of City so a win today at West Ham and another against Southampton next week are imperative.
A win at Fulham last week bought Davie Moyes some breathing space but they’ll need a few more to avoid being drawn into a relegation battle. They’re a big price at 11/2 today but this fixture hasn’t been kind to them, they’ve won only two of their last 31 games in all competitions against Arsenal.
The Gunners at 8/15 looks too short on it’s own but could be doubled with Manchester United to win at Nottingham Forest for a straightforward 8/5 double.
United looked to be cruising into the semi-finals of the Europa League in midweek but a second-half collapse saw them relinquish a two-goal lead and will have added some doubts in punters’ minds ahead of their trip to Forest this afternoon.
Marcus Rashford will sit this one out again and United will be without Lisandro Martinez for the rest of the season but they should still have enough quality to take all three points against a struggling Forest who have a lengthy injury list of their own.
Steve Cooper could only be without up to 11 players this afternoon so look up against it versus a club that they’ve only beaten once in the Premier League, back when Stan Collymore and Stuart Pearce were the scorers.
A United win looks safe enough for the Sunday accas at 7/10 but you can add them to score two or more to make it a 20/21 Bet Builder (United have scored at least three goals in each of their last six league meetings with Forest).
Celtic have scored 15 without reply in their last five encounters with Kilmarnock so the signs aren’t good for Derek McInnes’ men at Rugby Park today.
The Hoops are just a couple of wins from securing a second successive title and their 11th in 12 years as their dominance of Scottish football continues. There won’t be any relenting under Ange Postecoglou as proven by their current run of 23 Premiership matches without defeat.
Celtic/Celtic has delivered on the half-time/full-time market in 19 of the Bhoys’ 31 matches so far this season and at 8/13 that’s not the worst shout today. The Hoops have led at half-time in 20 of their games, throw in over 2 corners in the first 45 and we have a nice looking 13/10 BetBuilder.
