Wales to win
After defeat away to Belgium in their first qualifier, Wales bounced back and defeated the Czech Republic 1-0 in Cardiff. The Czechs are their main rivals for second spot so defeating Belarus is a must.
Wales are unbeaten in their last four games away to sides ranked 47th and below winning three of them. In all four of those games, Wales managed to keep a clean sheet.
After opening up with a 4-2 win over 10 man Estonia, Belarus then lost away to Belgium 8-0 before losing 1-0 away to the Czechs.
Belarus have lost their last four competitive home games against sides ranked 69th and below, including defeats to Albania and Northern Ireland, sides ranked lower than Wales.
Belgium to score 2+
Belgium currently sit top of their group, winning three of their four matches. Belgium have been banging the goals in scoring 17 goals.
In Belgium’s last 12 competitive home matches, they’ve scored 2+ in all 12. Belgium have already scored 11 goals in their two home games in the World Cup qualifiers.
Czech Republic currently sit in second position in the group collecting seven points. They did lose their last away game though away to Wales. In the last campaign, the Czechs conceded five against fellow top 5 ranked side England away from home.
Germany v Armenia – over 2.5 goals
Germany surprisingly sit in second spot in the group a point behind their opponents. Hansi Flick won his first game in charge on Wednesday, defeating lowly Lichtenstein 0-2.
Germany’s two group matches at home have both went over 2.5 goals as did all four of their qualifiers for Euro 2020.
Surprise packages Armenia currently sit top of the group, winning three and drawing one of their group matches. In those four matches, Armenia have scored six goals.
In their last qualifying campaign for Euro 2020, four of their five away games went over 2.5 goals. That included a 9-0 defeat to fellow powerhouse Italy.
Spain v Georgia – over 2.5 goals
Spain currently sit second in the group behind Sweden who defeated them on Wednesday night 2-1. Spain are now two points behind Sweden having played a game more.
Spain are yet to keep sheet in their four qualifiers, including in home games against Greece and Kosovo. They have scored in all four matches too scoring seven.
Georgia have only managed a solitary point in their four games but it took a stoppage time winner for Spain to defeat them 1-2 in the corresponding fixture. Georgia don’t tend to score too many goals but got defeated 5-1 by Denmark in their last qualifying campaign.
Peru to win
Peru may be bottom but collected an impressive 1-1 with Uruguay last time out. They’ll look to continue their impressive Copa America form in which they reached the semi finals.
Peru collected seven points in their Copa America group, winning two matches including a 0-1 victory over Venezuela.
Venezuela are rooted to the bottom of the qualifying group collecting just four points from seven games. Venezuela have lost all three away games including a 3-1 defeat to Bolivia.
