Mr Fixit returns with a preview of Sunday and Monday’s action across the major leagues in Europe.
Parma v Sampdoria
Serie A has been full of goals recently and my both to score won again last week at 9-5.
It featured Parma whose last seven have produced goals at either end that run should continue against Sampdoria as six of their last seven have brought up the market. Both to score pays 4-5 with William Hill.
La Liga’s Final Curtain
Sunday heralds the final round in La Liga with nothing at stake at the top bar some Europa League places.
Real Madrid have been imperious since the restart and duly wrapped up the title with a home win against Villarreal on Thursday.
They finish off against Leganes and are bound to ring the changes after a weekend of celebration.
Difficult to back Real here and maybe best left alone especially as they’ve failed to win on their last two trips to Leganes who are one point behind Celta Vigo in the battle to beat the drop.
Barca blew it by dropping points to Atletico Madrid and Celta Vigo and Thursday’s loss at home to Osasuna was a shocker.
All eyes will be in Lionel Messi in the final league game at Alaves with his future up in the air. If it’s to be his last game for Barca he’ll want to go out with a bang with the first goal at 10-3 with 888sport.
Spurs v Leicester
Some sides have thrived since the restart – others seem stuck in lockdown. One of those trying to avoid a crisis are Leicester who are in danger of missing out on the Champions League.
Brendan Rodgers’ men crashed to a shocking 4-1 defeat at Bournemouth last weekend and face a titanic battle with Man United and Chelsea for the final two places with one point splitting the three contenders with two games to go.
Incredibly Leicester, who bounced back to beat Sheffield United at home on Thursday, haven’t won on the road since New Year’s Day and face another setback at Spurs on Sunday.
Spurs soared out of their own sorry slump with a derby win against Arsenal followed by a fine 3-1 success at Newcastle as Harry Kane celebrated his 200th career goal.
Jose Mourinho’s men aren’t exactly reliable but can put another dent in Rodgers’ ambitions and are a best 11-8 at Betfred while Spurs draw no bet is less risky at 7-10 at McBookie.
Spurs and both to score can land at 7-2 with BetVictor and Kane is 7-2 with William Hill to net first.
Bournemouth v Southampton
Bournemouth followed their Leicester stroll with a battling 2-1 defeat at Man City and their survival battle continues with a south-coast derby against Southampton.
Saints have been a revelation recently, especially on the road, and it’s a tough one for the Cherries.
The visitors are tempt at 2-1 with William Hill while on an acca I’d take both to score at 4-7.
This has landed in five of Saints’ last six and three of Bournemouth’s previous four.
Juventus v Lazio (Monday)
Nine in a row’s a popular chant around Europe these days and Juventus face their final hurdle on Monday.
Serie A’s dominant side have wobbled of late but victory over Lazio will just about crown them champions again.
Juve lead Inter Milan by six points with five games to go while fourth-placed Lazio will close the gap to five if they can notch a surprise win in Turin.
Free-scoring Atalanta held Juve 2-2 last week but needed all three points while the leaky Old Lady have now conceded eight in four.
However, they’ve netted 17 in six so their firepower should see them over the line. Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed seven in seven and is 5-2 at bet365 to break the deadlock.
Juve’s recent home record against the Romans is mixed but should take care of a side that’s fallen off the pace with one point from 12 including defeats to Sassuolo and Lecce.
Lazio have won two meetings between the sides this season by the same score of 3-1 but I expect that to be reversed and Juve are 7-10 at Betway.
Despite their loss of form Lazio’s Champions League place is safe and they are almost certain to be joined by Atalanta and Inter.
