No UK football for a third day running means we’re looking to Europe for some bets on Sunday and turning our attention to Serie A and Eliteserien in Norway.
Newly promoted Cremonese have struggled in the top flight so far, picking up just one point from a possible 15 so far and things don’t get any easier this afternoon when they travel to face Atalanta (11:30am kick-off).
Gian Piero Gasperini’s side have made a solid start to the season with four wins and a draw although they have benefitted from a relatively kind run of fixtures so far. That draw was with champions AC Milan so the signs are positive for another season where they look like they could punch above their weight in Serie A.
One positve for Cremonese is that they’ve found the net in two of their three road trips so far and could contribute to today’s tally and help us to Over 2.5 match goals. Double that with an Atalanta win at 10/11
In Norway, Molde look unstoppable. They move 10 points clear at the top of Eliteserien with a win over champions Bodo/Glimt last weekend to move a step closer to regaining the title. After a tough game in the Europa Conference on Thursday, which finished 0-0, they face a trip to struggling Jerv today and should get back to winning ways with a comfortable win.
It’s a match that sees the second highest scorers play against the second worst defence in the league so we should see a few goals for the visitors. Prior to Thursday’s blank they scored four in each of their previous three. They may choose to rest one or two ahead of a trip to Djurgarden on Thursday but should still be too strong against a side that sit one point off the bottom.
On the half-time/full-time market Molde/Molde is 4/6, which isn’t a bad option on it’s own. Add in Over 2.5 Molde goals to take it to 6/5.
Another in form team in Norway are Rosenborg. Their winning run was puntured by defeat at Tromso a couple of weeks ago but they bounced back with a win over Viking last week to make it just two defeats in 16.
Today they’re at an improving Haugesund who have won four of their last six and usually prove a tricky opponent for RBK, but the 26-time champions are worth taking on at 6/5 in tonight’s 7.00pm kick-off.
