Steelers Aiming to Extend Winning Run

22/11/2020 admin

The Pittsburgh Steelers are aiming to make it ten wins from ten on Sunday as they travel to Florida to take on the Jacksonville Jaguars.

It has been a great start to the campaign and they are showing no signs of faltering.

Steelers in Dreamland

The Steelers are top of the AFC North division after winning all nine of their matches so far this season.

They have progressed a long way from the side who narrowly missed out on the playoffs last year after finishing 7th in the AFC conference.

Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger has been crucial in their ascent to the top of the NFL pyramid. The 38-year-old spent almost the entire 2019 season out injured as they laboured to an 8-8 record.

However, he is now back fit and looks better than ever as Pittsburgh look to emulate the great Miami Dolphins side of 1972 by going unbeaten all the way to the Super Bowl.

They arrive into this game off the back of a convincing 36-10 win against the Cincinnati Bengals and can be backed at 13/2 to win by a 25-30 point margin.

Jaguars Struggling Badly for Form

The Jaguars’ current record reads in stark contrast to the Steelers – they are 1-8 after a torrid opening to the new campaign.

They sit bottom of the AFC South and only the New York Jets are below them in the AFC conference.

Having beaten the Indianapolis Colts on the opening day, the Jaguars have lost eight in a row and it is hard to make a case for them against the in-form Steelers.

However, their last two games saw the performance levels rise despite being on the wrong end of the scoreline.

They were beaten narrowly 27-25 by the Houston Texans a fortnight ago before going down 24-20 to the Green Bay Packers last week.

Damage limitation might be the name of the game for Doug Marrone’s side this week and punters can back them to keep the scoreline respectable with the Steelers to win by 1-6 at 7/2.

Chiefs Looking Good To Defend Super Bowl

Kansas City Chiefs won their first Super Bowl for 50 years in February after defeating the San Francisco 49ers in a pulsating contest at the Hard Rock Stadium and are aiming to become the first side since the New England Patriots in 2005 to defend the title.

So far so good for Andy Reid’s men who are 8-1 in the current campaign as they top the AFC West division.

They remain tightly on the coattails of the Steelers in the AFC conference and are aiming to make it five wins on the bounce.

Their next assignment is against the Las Vegas Raiders, who blotted their copybook this season after triumphing 40-32 in a thrilling encounter.

However, the Chiefs have responded well to that setback and their offense has accumulated an impressive 137 points in their last four games.

That extra firepower should be enough to avoid a second loss to the Raiders this season and the Chiefs can be backed at 25/27 for over 32.5 points.

Carr Looking To Inspire Raiders Again

The Raiders are sat just behind the Chiefs in the AFC West division this season with a 6-3 record.

While their overall record is not outstanding, they have proven to be capable of some excellent results as highlighted by the recent win over the Chiefs, with coach Jon Gruden earning praise.

Derek Carr was the scourge of the Chiefs that last time the two sides met, as he torched them for 347 yards and three touchdowns. Punters can back Carr for over 267.5 passing yards at 20/23.
