THE only online bookie that lists SPFL and first-scorer prices for every game are McBookie.
McBookie’s Damian Walker is back with his first-scorer tips and he’s also challenging punters to pick their own.
Every week one person with a correct prediction will be chosen at random to win a £10 bet – and if you backed your tip with McBookie with at least a fiver they’ll double the prize to £20.
You can comment with your pick here and give any reasoning but to enter the contest you have to email mrfixit@dailyrecord.co.uk. There were no winners last week.

Here is Damian with this weekend’s selections.
He says: “The Scottish Cup returns this weekend and Livingston look a great price at 10-11 to win away at Inverness Caley Thistle.
“Readers of last week’s column will know I don’t rate the standard of the Championship this season outside of runaway leaders Dundee United.
“And I tipped Alloa at 6-1 (went off 9-1) to win at ICT last weekend and to score the opening goal, which they did, but sadly not my selection.
“Anyway, my point last week was Dundee United apart, no team in the Championship should be that sort of price to beat another.
“So when a Premiership team comes knocking in the shape of fifth-placed Livingston you really are getting some fantastic value at 10-11.
“Livingston have won four of their last five Premiership games and I am prepared to forgive their 2-0 midweek defeat in the Highlands to Ross County who mustered just two shots on target but scored with them both.
“Livi striker Lyndon Dykes has hit a barren run of four games without a goal but prior to that had six from his previous six games. Hopefully he can bounce back to form with the opener on Saturday for which he is a 7-2 chance with McBookie.
“Sticking with the Premiership v Championship theme and I am amazed St Johnstone are odds against at 21-20 away to Ayr United in the Cup.
“”The Perth Saints won at Pittodrie in midweek and really should be odds on for their visit to Ayrshire. St Johnstone midfielder Ali McCann has worked his way through the youth system at McDiarmid Park to earn himself a regular place in the starting 11 and has started to find the back of the net as well.
“The 20-year-old scored the winner in midweek and that was his fourth goal from his last eight games. McCann can be backed at 17-2 with McBookie to get the game’s first goal.
“Finally, in League Two and Queen’s Park did some good business in last month’s window and brought in four Championship players (two on loan) and a League One player.
“And their January form has matched the signings as the Spiders took 10 points out of a possible 12 in the last four weeks. On Saturday they travel to play Stirling Albion yet are 2-1 outsiders for the game with the Binos 6-5 favourites.
“The home side are in very good form themselves but I just fancy Queen’s to take the points. Spiders striker Salim Kouider-Aisser has had a fantastic season already scoring 15 goals from 30 appearances and his recent form is even better with 11 from his last 15. In a game where the first goal looks vital he is 9-2 with McBookie to get it.”
Recommended Bets
- Dykes (Livingston) 7-2
- McCann (St Johnstone) 17-2
- Kouider-Aisser (Queen’s Park) 9-2
