THE only online bookie that lists SPFL and first-scorer prices for every game are McBookie.
McBookie’s Damian Walker is back with his first-scorer tips and he’s also challenging punters to pick their own.
Every week one person with a correct prediction will be chosen at random to win a £10 bet – and if you backed your tip with McBookie with at least a fiver they’ll double the prize to £20.
You can comment with your pick here and give any reasoning but to enter the contest you have to email mrfixit@dailyrecord.co.uk. There were no winners last week.

Here is Damian with this weekend’s selections. He says: “My luck was definitely out last weekend. The teams for my three first goalscorer selections all won for a 90-1 treble -but sadly no first-scorer winners even though all three players scored!
“It seems a long time since the last round of Premiership fixtures but it has been worth the wait to see Motherwell priced up at 21-10 to win at Tynecastle.
“At the start of the season in this column I stated Motherwell were my fancy in the top division to outperform their odds and they have lived up to expectations with a solitary league defeat to Celtic in the Premiership.
“Well have won their last two league games 3-0 and 3-1, although they did lose 2-1 in the League Cup to Saturday’s opponents Hearts.
“I do feel though the Jambos look a team to take on with manager Craig Levein joint favourite in the McBookie Premiership Sack Race and the fans’ protests not helping his cause.
“Hearts sit bottom of the league without a win and that won’t have improved come 5pm on Saturday.
“Finding the winning team wasn’t the problem last weekend so hopefully I can do better in finding the first scorer.
“Liam Donnelly has been the Motherwell man for goals this season and has scored eight times from eight appearances in all competitions and is also on the pens. McBookie make Donnelly a 9-1 chance to open the scoring and that looks great value.
“The second selection is in League One where I am going for table-toppers East Fife again. Bookies don’t seem to have caught up with the Fifers yet and I’m not sure how they can be 17-20 to win at bottom club Montrose.
“East Fife are unbeaten in the league and travel to Links Park on the back of three straight wins.
“Montrose, on the other hand, have lost their last four league games and have just a solitary point to their name. East Fife really should be 4-7 or 8-15 for this match to my eyes.
“Last weekend I tipped East Fife’s Anton Dowds to score first and although he did get on the scoresheet it wasn’t the opening goal. Dowds is bidding to score in his third straight game and is 11-2 with McBookie to open the scoring.
“In recent seasons Elgin haven’t been the best travellers for obvious reasons given the average length of their away journeys but this season the Black and Whites have played seven on the road and lost just one and that record includes three matches against Championship opposition.
“Last weekend they dumped Dundee out of the Challenge Cup after a successful sortie to Dens Park so I was surprised to see them priced up at odds against away to Stirling Albion who have lost nine of their last 10 games in all competitions.
“The 13-10 about Elgin looks like one of the bets of the season and I’ll also be backing them on the handicaps.
“Shane Sutherland continues to run riot in League Two and has scored 12 goals in 12 games in all competitions this season.
“The 9-2 quote by McBookie for him to score first is the final bet of the weekend. Fingers crossed for some better luck.
