Evening all-weather action on Tuesday comes from the Fibresand at Southwell, with a seven-race card at the Nottinghamshire venue (4.45pm-7.45pm).

4.45 – Heed Your Hunch At Betway Handicap (1m4f)
Nicks Not Wonder won going away at Kempton recently and has scope for further improvement but Jamie Osborne’s charge has yet to encounter this Fibresand surface and clashes with a bit of a Southwell specialist in MUKHA MAGIC for the Gay Kellaway team now.
He boasts three wins and a second from just five Southwell starts. They’ve all come over this trip and the three wins were in this grade. He was anything but disgraced when third in a Class 3 event over C&D last time and, eased 2lb, finds himself back on a winning mark now returned to this grade.

5.15 – Bombardier Handicap (7f)
Love Your Work ran into a thriving rival in Daafr when second over C&D a fortnight ago and Stef Keniry’s charge is now rated 3lb lower then when taking out this race a year ago, he must be going close. IVA REFLECTION clearly gets on well with Hollie Doyle, winning over C&D in early January on their maiden outing together and going close again 10 days later from 2lb higher. They are expected to go well again.

5.45 – Betway Novice Stakes (6f)
Newcastle winner CRAVED saw the form of that success boosted by the second, Seeking Perfection, scoring easily at the same track on Friday. William Haggas’ gelding sets a fairly clear standard and, despite a penalty, is hard to oppose. He, like the improving Inexplicable, must prove effective at this track and if they have any problems, Greyfire could be the main beneficiary.

6.15 – Betway Casino Handicap (2m½f)
Last year’s winner Tynecastle Park loves it around here but is out of form and has lots to find with THAI TERRIER on their recent Chelmsford meeting. The winner surged clear of re-opposing runner-up Alfredo to halt a sequence of near misses and looks to have more to offer as a stayer.
Artistic Streak is in rude health, winning twice here last month over this trip and 1m6f before narrowly missing out on the hat-trick in a jumpers’ bumper at Newcastle, but she rises in class now. Mark Johnston boasts a remarkable 54 per-cent strike-rate from 11 runners thus far in 2021 at Southwell and can bag another here.

6.45 – Betway Handicap (5f)
A few of these sprinters are out of form and the top three on the card make most appeal. Cam Hardie partners SLOWMO over the other Anthony Brittain runner, Another Angel, who couldn’t last home over C&D last week having set the pace. Scale Force meanwhile had Slowmo behind in third when scoring at Wolverhampton last week. Both are previous C&D winners and, on the revised terms, Hardie’s mount could have his revenge.

7.15 – Play Ladbrokes 5-A-Side On Football Handicap (7f)
It’s A Love Thing came in for market support prior to last month’s handicap bow at Lingfield and could have done no more without winning. David Evans’ charge is a key player again, though unfortunate to be up 6lb without notching that last-time-out win. DRIFTWOOD finished closest to long odds-on jolly Double Dealing in a novice event here on Sunday and may be let in off a lenient mark now starting out in handicaps.

7.45 – Bombardier ‘March To Your Own Drum’ Apprentice Handicap (7f)
Three C’s has a fondness for this track (3-5 here) and duly returned to form when third over a mile last Tuesday. A repeat of that effort would make him hard to beat. Newcastle winner SHARRABANG also handles this quirky surface despite failing to win in four visits (second three times over 6f). He was really game under Faye McManoman in getting that Gosforth Park success last time and has won over this trip in the past. They’ve got solid prospects again.
