MONEYKENNY ran well against some good opposition on the grass at Windsor recently having been gelded during his layoff. He makes the switch to this surface with a leading chance based on that showing. His Andrew Balding-trained stablemate Winterwatch cost €30,000 as a yearling and needs a close look in the betting.

6.25 – MansionBet Best Odds Guaranteed Maiden Handicap (6f)
Both Dabristar and Kath’s Toyboy are starting in handicaps for the first time and do so with chances, so they will need close market monitoring. Driftwood extended his runs of seconds when turned over here in February and remains one to be wary of, so perhaps NIGHT OF ROMANCE can shed the maiden tag. She handled this surface well enough in the face of a thankless task in one visit previously and is now down to a fair mark.

Kevin The Minion has threatened to win in eight starts for Karl Burke and goes back over 7f on first start for his new trainer. He ought to have a say but JOIN FORCES has shown enough in January runs at Lingfield and Kempton – latterly over this trip – to suggest she’ll be winning races sooner rather than later for James Tate and Jason Hart.

TYNECASTLE PARK has done all his winning here and he found only a next-time-out winner too strong when second to Indigo Times here in February. He can be forgiven a lesser showing from the front on the turf at Pontefract this month and should go well back here again. Cosmelli is a course winner too and joins Ravenscar on the list of likely sorts.

This looks wide open. Holiday Magic won over shorter here nine days ago and is well worth considering again from 4lb higher. OUD METHA BRIDGE typically runs well at this circuit and he wasn’t beaten far on this most recent start in February. He’s eased a pound by the assessor and should again go well under claiming rider Dylan Hogan.

8.25 – MansionBet At Southwell Handicap (7f)
Send In The Clouds scored over C&D earlier in the month and shouldn’t be inconvenienced by a 3lb rise in the ratings. He’s likely to be near the front of the betting. De Bruyne Horse won over C&D in February but needs to banish a couple of lesser efforts since and so MOSTALLIM gets the nod. He’s been in good recent form on turf/AW and is within 2lb of his previous win-mark. Like Send In The Clouds, he’s only four and retains scope for better.
