After landing another winner in his featured column on Saturday, SlipsTips takes a look at the Bet Builder market ahead of West Ham’s showdown with Leicester at the London Stadium on Sunday.
West Ham vs Leicester (Sunday, 14:05)
West Ham’s charge towards Champions League qualification is showing no signs of slowing down and they will be looking to solidify their top-four credentials when Leicester come calling.
The Hammers have been among the Premier League‘s surprise packages this season and they bolstered their top-four bid with a hard-fought 3-2 win at Wolves on Monday night.
Leicester are also in an excellent position to secure Champions League football next season, with the Foxes currently occupying third-place in the Premier League table.
Brendan Rodgers boys were beaten 2-0 by Man City last time out so they will be desperate to get back on track at the London Stadium this weekend.
However, this looks like a tricky fixture to tackle from a betting perspective so I’m going to swerve the match result market and instead head to Bet 365‘s Bet Builder.
If we combine over zero Leicester goals and each team to see at least one card we will be presented with a nice looking 20/23 shot.
Leicester have avoided defeat in each of their last 10 top-flight road trips and they have notched up at least one strike in 12/14 Premier League matches away from their King Power base this season.
West Ham, on the other hand, have shipped five goals across their last two matches, not to mention David Moyes’ men have conceded at least one goal in 10 of their 15 home games this term.
With that in mind, I’m happy to side with at least one Leicester goal in east London on Sunday, but in order to boost up the price, I’ll also back each team to collect at least one card during this contest.
West Ham haven’t been prolific for picking up cards this season but they have racked up seven bookings across their last two matches, while Leicester are averaging 1.93 cards per 90 minutes on their travels this term – the second-highest tally in the division.
What’s more, card-happy Mike Dean is the man in the middle for this crunch top-four clash, with the Wirral-born whistler averaging 3.85 cards per game in the Premier League this season.
It’s also worth noting that the above-mentioned combination has clicked in four of the Hammers last six league matches and I’m more than happy to support the same formula at the London Stadium on Sunday.
