Kilmarnock vs Ayr (Wednesday, 19:45)
Kilmarnock will look to return to winning ways in the Scottish Championship when they lock horns with arch-rivals Ayr United on Wednesday night.
A 1-0 defeat at league leaders Arbroath condemned Derek McInnes to his first league defeat as Kille boss, meaning his side are now four points off the pace in their bid to bounce back to the top flight at the first time of asking.
Ayr United, meanwhile, enter this dust-up in the midst of a four-game winless run in the Scottish Championship, and as a result the Honest Men occupy the relegation playoff spot .
Killie backers will be offered a general 4/6 about McInnes’ men bouncing back this midweek, but we can get some 93/100 (William Hill) on them to overcome a -0.75 start on the Asian Handicap and that is an enticing boost in price.
Here we would land a half win if the hosts prevail with a one-goal winning margin, whereas a Kilmarnock success by two or more strikes would see us pocket a full-stakes pay-out.

Inverness vs Partick Thistle (Wednesday, 19:45)
Scottish Championship playoff contenders Inverness Caledonian Thistle and Partick Thistle square off at the Caledonian Stadium on Tuesday night.
Whilst Billy Dodds’ team have failed to triumph in their last seven tier two tussles, the Jags head north having suffered just one defeat in their last 15 outings across all competitions.
What’s more, Ian McCall’s fifth-placed side are within touching distance of Raith Rovers in the final playoff place and just eight points behind league leaders Arbroath with two games in hand.
Given the contrasting form of the two sides, I’m prepared to get a well-rested Partick Thistle side onside here by partnering up the visitors in the double chance market with a minimum of one Thistle strike at 4/5 (Bet 365).
Despite having played at least two games less than all other sides in the division, the men from Maryhill are the second-top scorers in the league at this stage of the campaign, which doesn’t bode well for a Caley team with just two clean sheets across their last 12 league games.
It’s also worth noting that this bet would have paid out in nine of the pair’s last 10 combined Scottish Championship contests and with that in mind, I’m more than happy to support the same wager in the Highlands on Wednesday night.
