After delivering six winners from six selections across his last four featured columns, SlipsTips is back with two wagers from Watford’s encounter with Wigan in the English Championship on Saturday.

Watford will be looking to record back-to-back victories in the English Championship for the first time since October when they welcome Wigan to Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.
Chris Wilder’s tenure at Watford got off to a less-than-ideal start in a 1-0 loss to QPR last weekend but his side bounced back in style by brushing aside Birmingham 3-0 in midweek, breathing some much-needed life into their playoff push in the process.
Wigan, on the other hand, remain in serious danger of being relegated from the second tier, as the Latics remain rooted to the foot of the table, despite drawing 1-1 with Coventry City on Tuesday night.
As such, the money has started to come for Watford here who are general 4/6 shots, however we can get some 19/20 (Bet 365) by backing the Hertfordshire outfit to overcome a -0.75 hurdle on the Asian Handicap and that looks like an enticing boost in price.
This selection would provide a full pay-out if Watford prevail by two goals or more, with a half-stakes winner banked if the Vicarage Road outfit record a victory by a one-goal margin.
Watford will be buoyed by their performance against Birmingham last time out and new boss Wilder will have earmarked this fixture with rock-bottom Wigan as one where three points are crucial if they are to mount a late charge for a top-six finish.
While the Hornets have a talented squad that has underperformed since being relegated from the Premier League last season, they could now be gearing up for lift off under Chris Wilder’s astute leadership.
Although Wigan have been a bit more resolute in recent weeks, Shaun Maloney’s men have not managed to claim top honours in each of their last seven second-tier tussles.
What’s more, the Latics have fallen to defeat in each of their last three road games at Preston, West Brom and Burnley respectively, and I suspect it could be a similar story here when faced with a Hornets side who will be hoping to build momentum by securing another three points.
With all of this in mind, backing Watford to overcome a -0.75 start on the Asian Handicap at 19/20 (Bet 365) holds plenty of appeal.
On a similar line of reasoning to the above, I’ll also go with the even-money on offer with PaddyPower for Watford to score two or more goals on Saturday.
The hosts have some real firepower in their ranks and if they click into gear like they did on Tuesday night then the evens (PaddyPower) quote on them to strike twice against the joint-worst defence in the division looks a little too big to ignore.
