SlipsTips takes a look at Tuesday night’s Scottish League Two fixture between Queen’s Park and Elgin City.

Queen’s Park could seal promotion to Scottish League One when they entertain Elgin at the Falkirk Stadium on Tuesday night.
Scotland’s oldest club ended their long-established history as the country’s top amateur side by making the decision to turn professional towards the end of 2019 and the Spiders are now on the brink of sealing their passage to the third-tier.
Ray McKinnon’s side surged 15 points clear at the Scottish League Two summit with a 3-2 success at Edinburgh City on Saturday, on an afternoon where my recommended bet landed.
As such, Queen’s need just a solitary point to clinch the title but they will fancy their chances of collecting all three when they come up against an Elgin side who were thumped 5-2 by Albion Rovers on Saturday.
Queen’s Park are a general 4/11 to make it 10 wins on the spin on Tuesday night but we can boost the price up to a much more attractive looking 6/5 with BetVictor by backing the hosts in the half time/full time market.
Taking this approach would have banked profit in each of Queen’s eight matches since the resumption and a repeat here at odds-against just looks a little bit too big to me.
The free-scoring Spiders are playing with a spring in their step and they will be desperate to wrap up the title at the earliest opportunity ahead of next season’s assault on League One.
What’s more, Queen’s have notched up two or more strikes in six of their last eight matches, while out-of-sorts Elgin have lost their last three games, shipping eight goals in the process.
It’s also worth noting that Gavin Price’s posse have already guaranteed themselves a top-five finish and as such I suspect they will have one eye on their forthcoming scrap for a play-off position.
With that in mind, coupled with the full-time firepower that McKinnon has at his disposal, I’m more than happy to back Queen’s Park to be winning at both half time and full time on Tuesday night.
