Nottingham Forest will be looking to return to winning ways when they entertain West Bromwich Albion in the English Championship on Monday night.
The Tricky Trees 10-match unbeaten run was brought to an end by fellow promotion rivals Luton on Friday, whilst the Baggies kept their slim hopes of a top-six finish alive with a last-gasp 2-1 home win over Blackpool.
However, Steve Bruce’s side have won just two of their last 16 second tier road trips and as such, they go to the City Ground as 11/4 (SBK) underdogs.
Forest, on the other hand, are general 21/20 favourites but I’m going to highlight an alternative offering by heading to the Bet Builder market to combine Nottingham Forest to score, over three Nottingham Forest corners and over one match card at 4/5 (Bet 365).
Whilst Steve Cooper’s side slumped to a 1-0 defeat on Good Friday, his team have been a different beast at their West Bridgford base, winning seven of their last eight league games and banging in 20 goals in the process.
In fact, Nottingham Forest have fired in two or more strikes in 10 of their last 11 Championship home matches and I’m therefore happy to back the hosts to breach a West Brom backline that have kept just four clean sheets across their last 19 league games.
Considering Cooper’s crew are averaging a shade under six corners per-home game this season, I’ll also back Forest to hit a minimum of four flag kicks on Monday night – a line they covered in 15 of their last 16 tier two tussles on home turf.
With both sides in desperate need of three points, I’ll round off the Bet Builder with over one match card in what should be a closely-fought contest under the lights.
Nottingham Forest are earning a smidgen under two yellow cards per game this season, with the Baggies tally sitting at 1.74 per 90, not to mention referee David Webb has dished out 2+ bookings in 22 of his 28 English Championship outings to date.
With all that in mind, as well as the fact that the above-mentioned combination has clicked in six of Forest’s last eight league games at home, supporting the same play on Monday night makes appeal at 4/5 (Bet 365).
