Roma vs Inter Milan (Sunday, 11:30)
The standout fixture in the latest set of Serie A fixtures will take place at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday morning as Roma meet Inter Milan.
Last time out Roma narrowed the gap on second-placed Inter with a comfortable 3-1 win at basement boys Crotone.
Inter, meanwhile, missed out on the chance to move to the summit of Serie A after losing 2-1 away at Sampdoria.
However, prior to that setback Antonio Conte’s side had won eight on the bounce, while the Romans have triumphed in five of their last six Italian top-flight tussles to become the top-scoring team in Serie A.
Therefore, this should be a hugely entertaining encounter and as ever I’ll head to Bet 365‘s Bet Builder market to put together a same game multiple.
Both teams to score is odds-on at a general 4/9 but if we combine BTTS and each team to receive over zero cards we will be presented with a backable 4/5 punt.
Both teams have obliged in 13/16 Inter league matches this season – the highest tally of any team in the division – and five of Roma’s last six Serie A assignments have ended with both sides getting on the scoreboard.
What’s more, 21 of Roma’s last 25 league matches have featured three or more or strikes and Inter Milan have made the net bulge in all 16 of their Serie A outings so far.
With that in mind, I’m more than happy to back both sides to hit the back of the net on Sunday but I’ll also throw in a card apiece to nudge up the price.
Paulo Fonseca’s hosts are averaging 2.19 yellow cards per game this season, while the Nerazzurri are clocking up 1.94 cautions per 90 minutes.
Marco di Bello is the man in the middle for this capital clash and he is averaging 4.88 cards per game this term, flashing four or more cards in 7/8 in Serie A this season.
It’s also worth noting that the above-mentioned Bet Builder landed in the corresponding fixture last July and that adds to the appeal of siding with the same formula at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday.
