SlipsTips takes a look at the Bet Builder market ahead of Getafe’s meeting with Real Sociedad on Sunday.
Getafe vs Real Sociedad (Sunday, 13:00)
Getafe will be looking to halt a four-game winless streak when they play host to Real Sociedad at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez on Sunday.
Jose Bordalas’ side have punched above their weight in recent seasons but the Azulones are enduring an underwhelming campaign this time around and go into this clash lying 13th in La Liga and just four points above the relegation zone.
Real Sociedad, meanwhile, enter this contest off the back of a comfortable 4-1 win over Cadiz last Sunday.
That triumph gave the Royals European aspirations a much-needed boost and the San Sebastián outfit are priced up at even-money and better to make it back-to-back La Liga wins this weekend.
Indeed, the aforementioned odds will attract plenty of attention from punters but I’m going to swerve the match result market and instead head to Bet 365‘s Bet Builder.
If we combine over zero Real Sociedad goals, over two Real Sociedad corners and over one Getafe card we can get some 10/11 (Bet 365) and that makes appeal.
Real Sociedad have scored in 18/22 la Liga assignments this season and they will be coming up against an out-of-form Getafe side who have kept just two clean sheets across their last 10 matches in all competitions.
With that in mind, coupled with the fact that only the top-three sides in Spain have scored more league goals than Real Sociedad this season, I’m happy to side with at least one Sociedad strike on Sunday.
Given that Real Sociedad are averaging 5.59 corners per game this season – the second-highest average in La Liga – I’ll also back the visitors to hit over two corners in the capital this weekend.
I’ll complete the Bet Builder by adding over one Getafe card – the battle-hardened hosts are averaging 3.45 yellows per game this season – the highest tally in the division by some distance – and when digging a bit deeper it can be seen that Getafe have received at least two bookings in 21/22 La Liga fixtures this season.
What’s more, referee Pablo Fuertes is averaging a whopping 5.74 yellow cards per 90 minutes this season and it’s also worth noting that the above-mentioned combination has clicked in each of the last three meetings between these two sides.
