After delivering three winners from four selections in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday, SlipsTips casts his eye over the Bet Builder market ahead of Dundee United and Livingston’s meeting on Sunday.
Dundee United vs Livingston (Sunday, 15:00)
Days after one of their most remarkable results in recent times, Dundee United lock horns with Livingston in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
As hosts to AZ Alkmaar last time out, Jack Ross’ side recorded a famous 1-0 victory to set themselves up nicely for a shot at qualifying for the Europa Conference League playoff round.
The Terrors switch focus back to the Scottish Premiership this weekend, having opened their campaign with a 1-1 draw at newly-promoted Kilmarnock.
As for Livingston, they fell to a narrow 2-1 defeat at home to Rangers last Saturday, but there were positives to take from what was a spirited display.
With a closely-fought fixture anticipated, I’m going to steer clear of the outright betting here and instead dip into the Bet Builder market and merge over zero Dundee United goals, over three Dundee United corners and over zero Livingston cards at 21/20 (Bet 365).
Whilst United have only played two competitive matches under Jack Ross, signs have been promising, none more so than the aforementioned triumph over AZ.
What’s more, United have made some eye-catching signings over the summer, reinforcing a squad that finished fourth in the top-flight last term.
While Livingston are a hard-working and well-organised outfit who never go down without a fight, they have failed to keep their sheets clean in four of their five competitive outings this season so far, three of which are against lower league opposition.
As such, I’m more than happy to back Dundee United to score on Sunday, but to boost the price, I’ll also go with over three United corners.
The Tannadice team were averaging 4.5 corners per-game last season, while Livi were conceding north of six flag kicks per 90 minutes on the road last term.
To round off the 21/20 (Bet 365) Bet Builder, I’ll also back the visitors to pick up at least one booking during this City of Discovery dust-up.
David Martindale’s warriors averaged a league-high 2.5 yellow cards per-game in the Scottish Premiership last term, collecting a minimum of one card in 35 of their 38 top-flight outings last season.
With all this in mind, coupled with the fact that the same Bet Builder would have paid out in Dundee United’s curtain-raiser at Kilmarnock, supporting the same formula on Sunday makes appeal.
Recommended Bet
- Over 0 Dundee United Goals
- Over 3 Dundee United Corners
- Over 0 Livingston Cards
- Bet Builder – 21/20 (Bet 365)
