Chelsea vs Southampton
FST predicts: 3-1 Chelsea
Chelsea may have suffered a couple of setbacks this season, but they have won seven of their last eight Premier League home games and should have more than enough to get past Southampton on Saturday.
They have scored three or more goals in three of their four league outings this season but have conceded six goals along the way, so it’s unlikely they can keep a Southampton side that have scored in each of their last three games at bay.
Bournemouth vs QPR
FST predicts: 2-1 Bournemouth
Bournemouth have won three and drawn one of their first four Championship games so should have the beating of a QPR outfit that haven’t won since the opening weekend of the season.
The visitors have scored in all four Championship matches this season though, and with Bournemouth only keeping one clean sheet a shutout is unlikely for the Cherries. Averaging 2.0 goals per game so far this term, a 2-1 triumph for the hosts looks a good shout.
Rotherham vs Norwich
FST predicts: 1-0 Norwich
It’s not likely to be one for the neutrals at the New York Stadium this Saturday. All four of Rotherham’s league games this season have produced fewer than three goals and the hosts have netted just once on home soil this term.
Norwich have also been involved in plenty of low scoring affairs, but they should be able to edge this one against a Rotherham side that have already suffered a 1-0 defeat at home this season.
Blackburn vs Nottingham Forest
FST predicts: 2-0 Blackburn
Nottingham Forest welcome new manager Chris Hughton to the dugout after losing their opening four games of the season, but with their winless streak now stretching back 11 games in all competitions the advantage is with Blackburn here.
The hosts have kept a clean sheet in each of their last three Championship matches and, with comprehensive wins over Wycombe and Derby to look back upon, a relatively straightforward 2-0 win looks a good option.
Brentford vs Coventry
FST predicts: 3-1 Brentford
Brentford have won seven of their last ten home games in the Championship and are justified favourites against a Coventry side who are without a win on the road this season.
The hosts have conceded nine goals in all competitions this season, though, so a shutout might be difficult. Coventry lost 3-1 at home to Bournemouth last time out and a repeat of that scoreline offers an attractive option.
Birmingham vs Sheffield Wednesday
FST predicts: 1-1 Draw
A stalemate is on the cards as Sheffield Wednesday visit St Andrews on Saturday afternoon, with Birmingham playing out a massive 14 draws in the Championship last season.
They continue to be stalemate specialists this term, drawing each of their last three games and playing out back-to-back 1-1 draws against Rotherham and Stoke. Sheffield Wednesday have drawn two of their four Championship games this season, with the most recent being a 1-1 stalemate with QPR just before the international break.
