Crystal Palace vs Leeds United
FST Predicts: 1-1 Draw
Both Crystal Palace and Leeds have been tumbling down the Premier League standings in recent weeks following spells of inconsistent results, and with the teams shared goal-scoring problems apparent, we think a share of the spoils looks likely at Selhurst Park.
The Eagles are averaging just 1.1 goals per 90 minutes this season, while Leeds notched one or fewer goals in four of their last five assignments. Combining the two makes a 1-1 draw a likely outcome in London.
Norwich City vs Swansea City
FST Predicts: 1-1 Draw
Promotion chasing Swansea take their impressive 13-match unbeaten run to East Anglia on Saturday for a date with a Norwich City team in the midst of a sequence of six fixtures without defeat.
The Welsh outfit drew 1-1 in each of their last three away contests, and the Swans – unbeaten in 11 away games overall – should be able to carve out another useful point against the high-flying Canaries.
Birmingham City vs Bournemouth
FST Predicts: 1-1 Draw
Promotion hopefuls Bournemouth have been picked up their points in singles of late much to the frustration of manager Jason Tindall, and having drawn three of their last five matches 1-1, the Cherries could be held again on Saturday.
Birmingham are unbeaten in three of their last four Championship fixtures, and having seen both teams score in the most recent trio of those games, the Blues look capable of holding the Cherries to a score draw in the second city.
Watford vs Coventry City
FST Predicts: 2-0 Watford
Watford have been formidable at Vicarage Road this season, winning four and drawing one of their first five Championship tests of the season there since their demotion from the Premier League.
On Saturday, the Hornets host a Coventry City team languishing in fourth from bottom, and with momentum to draw from on their own patch, Vladimir Ivić will expect his side to win to nil against a Sky Blues outfit that failed to register in two of their last three on the road.
Brentford vs Middlesbrough
FST Predicts: 1-1 Draw
Middlesbrough take their nine-game unbeaten run to the Community Stadium on Saturday to test their mettle against a Brentford team that drew each of their last two home matches, and the evidence suggests we should expect another stalemate in West London.
Boro took a point from three of their last four away matches, two of which finished 1-1 – a scoreline Brentford shared with their opponents in each of their last two runouts on home soil.
Derby County vs Barnsley
FST Predicts: 1-1 Draw
Two clubs prone to drawing lock horns at Pride Park on Saturday, when second from bottom Derby County take on fellow strugglers Barnsley in the Championship.
The Rams finished all square at 1-1 in three of their last four league skirmishes, while the Tykes took a single point from 50% of their last eight second-tier fixtures. With both clubs lacking the confidence to push for victory, another stalemate looks on the cards in Derbyshire.
