The curtain will come down on Week 12 of the NFL season on Monday when the Washington Football Team will be hoping for their fifth win of the campaign when they host the Seattle Seahawks at FedEx Field.
A close match is anticipated with the home team Evens to come out on top while Seattle are 20/23 to finally get their season into gear.
Seattle Are Struggling
It wasn’t that long ago that the Seahawks were regarded as one of the toughest teams to face in the NFL, but this campaign has been one for everyone in the Pacific Northwest to forget.
Pete Carroll’s side have won just three of their ten games and they head to Landover having won just one of their last six games and that was against Jacksonville, who have won just two of their 11 games themselves.
Losing quarterback Russell Wilson in Week Five was a blow, but the joy that greeted his return a fortnight ago has done little to lift the gloom as the team have continued to struggle.
Wilson has yet to connect with a touchdown pass in his two outings since he returned from finger surgery and they didn’t even trouble the scoreboard in their defeat to the Green Bay Packers a fortnight ago.
A loss to division leaders the Arizona Cardinals was also a disappointment and it is now a case of ending the campaign on a strong note. However, they have a lot of work to do.
Washington Are Finding Their Rhythm
Washington are also highly unlikely to gain a place in the playoffs, but there seems to be more cause for optimism in the WFT camp.
They have taken their win tally to four with successes over Super Bowl champions the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Carolina Panthers, so they should have gained some confidence.
They have demonstrated that their defence are getting their act together and the running game has proved fruitful in recent weeks with rusher Terry McLaurin chalking up two 100-yard games in his last four outings.

Home Team Should Take the Spoils
It is difficult to be confident about the Seahawks so it looks worth backing Washington as one-point underdogs at 10/11.
The home team have some decent results behind them and the chemistry is just not there with the Seahawks at the moment.
Seattle have some talented receivers in DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett but Russell Wilson is only connecting with just over half of his pass attempts in his last two games.
Washington should be geared to keep them in check and that should be enough for them to gain a fifth win of the campaign.
Low-Scoring Clash Looks Likely
The total-points line for this match is 47, with overs available at 25/28 and unders 20/21, and there looks a good chance it is a mark that will not be reached.
Seattle’s offensive problems are plain. No team has a lower number of yards per game since Week Six than Pete Carroll’s side and Russell Wilson has not been firing since his return.
The running game also lacks penetration, so it would not be a surprise to see an improving Washington defence keeping a lid on the visitors.
