RAITH ROVERS are a club that looks like they are going places and they can smash a Highland hoodoo by beating Caley Thistle on Saturday.
The Kirkcaldy side have lost just one game this season and that was at Hibs in the League Cup. They’ve won three games in a row in the league and are top of the league with Dundee United.
They meet an Inverness side who are struggling badly this season. They got plenty of plaudits for reaching the Scottish Cup Final last season, but apart from a League Cup victory at home to
Bonnyrigg Rose this season, they are winless.
ICT are bottom of the league after four games and Billy Dodds is under pressure.
However, Raith must find a way to end a remarkable hex against them.
They have failed to beat Caley Thistle in a quite incredible run of 32 games stretching back 23 years!
But Raith appear to have got their act together on and off the pitch They have made several astute summer signings and Lewis Vaughan is back to top form again after his many injuries.
And the 17/20 home win looks nailed on at Stark’s Park.
DUMBARTON are another side that look solid at evens to win at Elgin City.
Elgin were predicted by many to struggle this season, but they have not quite been the no-hopers many have predicted, especially at home where they have held East Fife and Forfar Athletic to a draw.
But they are yet to win this season and were hammered at Bonnyrigg Rose the other week. They have a young squad and former Dundee boss Barry Smith just took charge from Ross Draper thisweek, who will now return to being a player-coach.
Dumbarton are unbeaten in League Two and have won their last three games there against Forfar, Stenhousemuir and East Fife.
And they can burst Elgin’s new manager bounce at Borough Briggs.
ROSS COUNTY have enjoyed a good start to the season and can get the better of Livingston at home at 7/5.
Malky Mackay’s men have forgotten about last season’s lucky escape from the drop and have won two out of their four league games this season.
The two defeats were against the Old Firm and they have also defeated St Johnstone at home and, impressively, Kilmarnock away.
And they could have too much firepower for David Martindale’s side in Dingwall.
