STIRLING ALBION haven’t won a title for 13 years but can take a big step towards claiming the League Two flag when they travel north to face Elgin City on Saturday.
Darren Young’s Binos are battling it out with Dumbarton to win the league and they were held to a draw by the Sons last week.
But they are unbeaten in the league since the start of December and it’s a pleasant surprise to see them odds-against at 23/20 to win in Moray.
Elgin have picked the wrong time to lose their form. They have now lost five games out of their last six games including three in a row where they have scored only once and only lost at home to Bonnyrigg Rose.
Manager Gavin Price admitted this week they are lacking confidence and they haven’t won any of their last six games at Borough Briggs.
The sides meet again at Forthbank on Tuesday and Stirling can put down a marker with a win.
ABERDEEN look too big at 29/20 to win in Perth against St Johnstone.
The Dons have given the reigns to Barry Robson until the end of the season at least after an impressive run that culminated in them battering Hearts before the international break.
It was 3-0, but it could have been more with Duk running the show and a midfield trio of Ylber Ramadani, Graeme Shinnie and Leighton Clarkson dominant.
Aberdeen’s poor away record has been well documented, but they won at Dundee United the other week and McDiarmid Park is one of the few grounds recently they’ve enjoyed visiting – they have three of their last four visits there.
Saints are surely safe, but they have a dreadful home record. Their last home win came against Rangers in November.
Aberdeen need a win to push for third and can get it.
Hearts fans aren’t happy with manager Robbie Neilson and KILMARNOCK can add to his woes by winning at 19/10 at Rugby Park.
Killie are pitiful away from home, but their hopes of staying up depend on the Ayrshire artificial surface.
They’ve thrown away points recently from winning positions but will relish playing a Hearts team who are lacking confidence having lost four of their last five games.
The capital club have failed to win away in the league this year and won’t fancy a Killie team who will be fighting for their lives.
