WE’VE got a full SPFL reserve card this afternoon and as always team news will be crucial to find out how many 1st team players are included.
Two of the leagues best teams meet as Rangers host Hibernian and I’m really confused as to why the bookies have Rangers priced up at 8/1. There could be real value in backing the Rangers to get something from this game given the huge price they are despite them being the home side.
Rangers Reserves vs Hibernian Reserves (KO 2 pm)
3rd placed Rangers host league leaders Hibs knowing victory today will take them level on points with Hibs having played a game less.
Going by league positions their is nothing between the sides so I’m struggling to understand why Rangers are a massive 8/1 to win this despite only being three points behind Hibs and they are also at home.
Hibs are having a terrific campaign and have won 7 games on the bounce but they are more dominant at home than they are on the road. What really interesting is they have failed to beat any of the top 4 teams away from home and there has to be a case for Rangers at such big odds.
Rangers have been ruthless at home (played at their training centre) winning 5 of their 6 games with the wins ending 5-0 2-1 6-2 5-0 5-0.
I’ve not seen team news yet but I’m going to back Rangers on the handicap market with some small stakes on them double chance and to win.
Yes Hibs are in terrific form but there is absolutely no way Ranges should be 8/1 (unless the bookies know something I don’t and Rangers are playing a team full of u18’s)
Recommended Bets: (Team news dependent)
- Rangers +2
- 13/10 (Skybet) (NAP)
- Rangers +1
- 10/3 (Skybet)
