The Betfred cup is now well underway as we approach the 3rd round of the group fixtures with 12 matches taking place today.
Dundee United and Motherwell did us proud last night against lower league opposition and todays see’s Hib’s first home match of the season as they welcome last season’s Championship over achievers Alloa.
Hibs were surprisingly held at Stirling Albion last weekend but I don’t see them encountering any problems at Easter Road. Should be a case of how many Hibs win by.
Hibernian vs Alloa Athletic (KO 3pm)
It’s a first showing at Easter Road for Paul Heckingbottom’s Hibs side and they’ll have to do considerably better than they did last week after a surprise 1-1 draw away at Stirlig Albion.
They have no better way to make amends than today against an Alloa side who were held to Division Two Elgin in a match which saw them concede three goals against Gavin Price’s side.
Hibs are better and stronger in every department and should be battling it out with Aberdeen and Hearts to be Scotland’s 3rd force. They’ll field their strongest side today and have lots of attacking options, I’d be really surprised if they didn’t score at least 3 today.
Every one of their 4 games this season has seen over 1.5 goals second half goals and that look a great bet again today having posted it in their games friendlies against , Carlisle, Arbroath and Dunfermline.
Recommended Bet:
- Hibs over 2.5 team goals
- 1/1 (Skybet) (NAP)
- Over 1.5 second half goals
- 8/11 (Bet365)
