IT’S hotting up at the top of the Scottish Championship and the top four meet tonight.
Leaders Ross County aim to move eight clear of second-placed Ayr with a game in hand while Dundee United will be hoping for a draw in Dingwall as they welcome Inverness to Tannadice.
County will be boosted by Saturday’s amazing comeback to win 4-2 at Partick Thistle from 2-0 down at HT and I’m backing them to beat an Ayr side with just two wins in 11.
Despite reaching the Irn-Bru Cup Final and exiting the Scottish Cup last week on pens County show no signs of tiring and are evens at McBookie to take the points.
United’s three-match winning run was ended with a point at a rejuvenated Falkirk and they’ll see tonight as a massive game against Inverness ahead of the clubs’ Scottish Cup quarter-final back at Tannadice on Sunday.
Robbie Neilson’s United have been on the up since signing 11 players in January and look nailed on for the play-offs while ICT face a fight with Dunfermline and possibly QoS for fourth spot.
