I SAID pre-season Celtic and Rangers would finish miles ahead of the rest – and that’s how it’s proving.
Not only are the Old Firm dominating at home but now they’re making noises in the Europa League with both impressing on Thursday – and I expect Gers to join their city rivals in the knockout stage.
Last weekend I tipped them both for easy Betfred Cup wins against the Edinburgh favourites and while they should win tomorrow the opponents are tougher.
Celtic are at home to a third-placed Motherwell side whose biggest problem will be keeping hold of manager Stephen Robinson.
The Hoops are no bigger than 1-5 to win but they should be elated rather than jaded so back them -1 at 1-2 with McBookie. They’ve covered this five in a row at home to Well and were 5-2 victors at Fir Park earlier in the season.
Rangers head to a Livingston side who are the only one in Scotland to beat either of the Old Firm this season.
They beat Celtic 2-0 and before that lost just 1-0 to Rangers in the Betfred Cup so Steven Gerrard will expect another battle.
He make some changes but if Alfredo Morelos starts take him at 3-1 with McBookie to score first and Rangers to win to nil at evens is another bet I’d consider.

Killie are unbeaten in five against Hamilton at home and look good for another win at 8-13 with McBookie.
The Championship title race is turning into a fascinating one after Dundee United looked set to run away with it.
Ayr and Dundee have closed in and Inverness and Dunfermline are also looking to get involved.
Today Ayr travel to QoS and they’ve shrugged off the loss of Ian McCall by notching fine wins against Morton and their old gaffer’s Partick Thistle.
Queens on the other hand have suffered back-to-back 2-0 defeats to Dunfermline and Inverness so this should be Ayr’s at 11-8 with bet365.
Dunfermline have won their last three at Alloa but haven’t beaten them in two meetings at home this season. It doesn’t make sense but I’m on the Pars at 11-10 with Betfred.
Montrose are the form side in League One with five wins on the spin and last week ended East Fife’s unbeaten run with a 1-0 success at New Bayview. They shouldn’t be as big as 10-11 at bet365 to beat basement boys Forfar at home.
It’s tight at the top with just two points separating the top four. Leaders Falkirk face fourth-placed Airdrie in game of the day and it should be a home win at 3-5 with bet365.
Second-placed Raith are out to avenge an earlier defeat by Stranraer and are 1-2 at McBookie. The last four meetings at Stark’s Park have gone over 2.5 goals so try Raith and overs at evens with Ladbrokes.
In League Two there are some matches between on-form sides such as Cove v Stirling and Edinburgh v Elgin. All four teams are scoring heavily so consider an over 2.5 goals double at 7-5 with Sky Bet
