MONTROSE have been written off at 19/10 for a win at Stirling Albion and seem hugely overpriced at Forthbank.
The Links Park side are going along steadily enough in League One where they are sit points better off than their hosts on Saturday.
In midweek, they held leaders Falkirk to a draw at home and not many teams have done that this season, they have also won on their travels at Queen of the South, Annan Athletic and Edinburgh City where they romped to a 5-1 success.
They cruised through to the next round of the Scottish Cup against the same team last week so they probably shouldn’t be 19/10 against anyone in the league and especially not a Stirling side seemingly in freefall.
The Binos’ Scottish Cup exit to Cove Rangers last week was their sixth defeat in a row and during that time they have only scored two goals.
They are heading in the wrong direction and the price on a Montrose win looks generous.
FORFAR ATHLETIC were many people’s tip to suffer Scottish Cup humiliation last week at Tranent and in fact, they went off outsiders.
But they saw off the Lothian side and can get their League Two back on track with a win against Stranraer at Station Park.
The Loons have been disappointing so far this season and were tipped to challenge. In fact, it took them until the other week to chalk up just their second league win of the season and the first came at Stranraer where they have already won 2-0.
But Stranraer’s form is dismal. Apart from a Scottish Cup win against Civil Service Strollers, they have lost eight of their last ten games.
Their only away league win came at Elgin back in August and Forfar should have too much for them at an odds-against 21/20.
Duncan Ferguson is unbeaten as Caley Thistle manager so far, but that could come to an end on Saturday when Championship title-chasing RAITH ROVERS visit Inverness.
The Kirkcaldy side show no sign of easing off the pressure on Dundee United and last Friday night they cruised through a Scottish Cup Fife derby at Dunfermline.
That made it six wins and a draw in their last seven games and Ian Murray’s side are going well.
Inverness struggled to get past Lowland League Cowdenbeath last week and Rovers can become the first side to beat Big Dunc’s men at 6/5.
