A WIN over Hearts sealed the treble Treble for Celtic and now it’s the Jambos who stand in the way of a fourth successive clean sweep.
Odsonne Edouard made the difference in the last Scottish Cup Final, levelling from the spot before sinking the Tynecastle side with a late winner.
The Frenchman has been out of sorts this term but can still rise to the occasion, as he showed with a classy finish in the Europa League clash with AC Milan.
So I fancy Edouard to grab another Cup Final strike, although Odsonne is odds-on for anytime scorer at 8/13 with McBookie and 4/5 with Paddy Power.
The price is better if you back to Frenchman to score first, at 10/3 with Paddy Power, while he’s 11/4 at McBookie to score two or more.
After a horror run, Celtic’s form has picked up a little with wins over Lille and Kilmarnock and that’s why they are as short as 3/10 at McBookie to win inside 90 minutes and 1/8 at Skybet to lift the Cup.
But they have just one clean sheet from their last nine games and Hearts have drawn a blank only once all season so both teams to score could come up at 10/13 with SBK.
I’m surprised to see the Jambos as big as 8/1 with McBookie to win inside 90 minutes and they are 11/2 at Bet365 to lift the trophy.
Plenty of punters will fancy a nibble at those prices given Celtic’s form this term.
There’s little value in backing a win for Neil Lennon’s men but doubling it with over 3.5 goals pays 123/100 in a McBookie bet builder.
Lennon’s biggest call is whether to recall Scott Brown after some impressive displays from Ismaila Soro.
If the skipper starts he looks good value for a card and the same applies for former Rangers star Andy Halliday. Brown is 7/4 with McBookie to be carded and Halliday 6/4 while a double pays 7/1.
Rangers v Motherwell
Rangers saw their unbeaten run crash to an end at St Mirren in midweek in the League Cup, with tipping the Buddies in the handicap market paying off for me.
But they can stretch their Premiership lead to 16 points with Celtic in Cup action and should have too much firepower for Motherwell at Ibrox today.
Steven Gerrard’s men won 5-1 at Fir Park this season and also hammered Well 7-1 at Ibrox two years ago.
So betting on goals could pay off, with over 3.5 match goals 5/4 at McBookie and over 2.5 Gers goals priced 4/5.
Hibs v Dundee Utd
Hibs can jump above Celtic into second with a home win over Dundee United and are 4/7 with McBookie for a fifth successive victory.
But United have been tough to beat all season so I’m betting against goals here with under 2.5 goals 5/6 at McBookie.
St Mirren v St Johnstone
It should also be tight in the battle of the Saints as the side from Perth head to Paisley. There has only been one goal across the last three meetings so under 1.5 goals is worth considering at 8/5 with McBookie.
Ross County v Hamilton
Hamilton continue to look the poorest team in the Premiership so I fancy Ross County in their relegation battle.
The Staggies are a best 10/11 for a win at McBookie and that’s decent value.
Kilmarnock v Aberdeen
Aberdeen delivered when I backed them to win to nil last weekend and I can’t see many thrills when they travel to Killie. Under 2.5 goals pays 4/7 at McBookie.
