THE Scottish Cup gets back underway tonight but shocks could be thin on the ground with the minnows lacking match practice.
Football below the Championship only started again at the weekend after being in cold storage since January.
So I would be surprised if clubs from the second tier came a cropper in tonight’s ties.
Arbroath v Falkirk
The team in biggest danger could be Arbroath as they host a Falkirk side sitting top of League One.
But Dick Campbell’s men held Hearts to a draw at Gayfield on Saturday and look good value at 6/4 with McBookie to see off the Bairns.
Brora Rangers v Hearts
The Jambos take on Highland League Brora and it’s no surprise to see them as McBookie’s 1/9 favourites with the minnows as big as 17/1 at Betfair.
But Robbie Neilson’s men haven’t been scoring freely of late so it could be worth backing under 3.5 goals at evens (McBookie).
Buckie Thistle v Inverness
There’s another David v Goliath clash in the Highlands as Caley Thistle travel to Buckie Thistle.
Inverness have won their last two games to nil so I fancy a repeat here at 13/8 (McBookie).
Morton v Dunfermline
Dunfermline travel to Morton for an all-Championship tie and I’d be surprised if we saw a lot of goals.
The last three games involving the Pars have all ended in a 1-0 scoreline, including a victory over Ton in Fife.
Under 2.5 goals looks overpriced at 7/4 with McBookie while another one-goal winning margin pays 11/8.
Super Singles
McBookie star bet
- An acca on Hearts, ICT, Arbroath, Raith and Ayr beating lower-league opposition pays 846/100
