WE may only be into September but we already have Scottish Cup action as Lowland league side Kelty Hearts meet junior giants Auchinleck Talbot at new Central Park in the first round
It’s a fascinating encounter and has caught the imagination of the of the TV chiefs with the game being Shown live on on BBC Scotland. Not much between the sides but I’m taking Kelty to edge it
Kelty Hearts vs Auchinleck Talbot (KO 7.05pm)
The home side managed by ex Rangers captain Barry Ferguson look as if they will be playing senior football before long after a very productive summer in the transfer market.
They have a squad that some Division two clubs would be envious of with players like Dylan Easton Nathan Austin choosing to play their trade in the Lowland league despite having options to play at higher level.
They are destroying teams in the league, scoring an incredible 40 goals in just 7 games and at home their 4 game have ended 8-0 5-0 5-0 10-0 – I have no doubt they will be in league 2 next season.
They welcome Junior side Auchinleck and they are no strangers to the Scottish cup. The Ayrshire side live for this competition and only just last season caused the upset of the 2018/19 competition by knocking out Championship Ayr United 1-0 (then lost 4-0 to Hearts).
There won’t be a lot between the sides but with home advantage on their artificial pitch and probably that little bit of extra quality, I fancy Kelty to go through.
Recommended Bet:
- Kelty Hearts
- 5/4 (BetVitor) (NAP)
France Goals Special:
A decent looking Ligue 2 card tonight with most of the higher scoring sides in action – 8 matches and I’m happy to take on the 19+ total goals line
Recommended Bet:
- 19+ goals to be scored
- 11/8 (Skybet)
