IT’S slim picking for punters in the SPFL lower leagues today with just a handful of games to bet on.
The suspension of all football below the Championship has left many fans frustrated and Raith’s clash with Inverness has also bitten the bullet with Raith unable to field a team.
Alloa v Hearts
Leaders Hearts head to Alloa looking for revenge after the Wasps dumped them out of the Betfred Cup.
It’s never easy on the artificial pitch at the Indodrill and some punters might fancy a nibble at the 11/1 McBookie offer on another Alloa win.
But the Jambos will have learned the lessons from that cup exit so I’m going to bet on a Hearts win and under 2.5 goals which pays 13/5.
Gary Mackay-Steven could make his debut for Robbie Neilson’s side and the winger is just 11/8 with McBookie to mark it with a goal.
Dundee v Ayr Utd
Both teams to score has been my go-to bet with Dundee all season and it even came up against minnows Bonnyrigg in the Scottish Cup last weekend.
The Dark Blues host Ayr today and BTTS pays a decent 17/20 at McBookie while over 2.5 goals is the same price.
Charlie Adam is arguably the best player in the division and the former Liverpool and Rangers star is a tempting 11/8 with McBookie for anytime scorer.
Queen of the South v Arbroath
The final Championship game sees Queen of the South host Arbroath and I fancy the Doonhamers at 11/8 (McBookie).
Queens delivered when I backed them in the Cup last week and that was their third win on the spin.
Super Singles
- Hearts win and under 2.5 goals (13/5, McBookie)
- Charlie Adam anytime scorer (11/8, McBookie)
