Roma v Verona
Life after Jose Mourinho begins on Saturday as Roma welcome Serie A strugglers Verona to the Stadio Olimpico.
Former midfielder Daniele di Rossi has been put in interim charge and has a good opportunity to make a winning start and show a more attacking style after the staid, defensive football of the Mourinho era.
The hosts won just one of Mourinho’s final six games in charge and have dropped to ninth in the table, while Verona are third bottom although have two wins in their last four.
Both those victories came at home, though, and Verona are winless on the road since August, losing seven of nine since then. The visitors will set up to frustrate, but Roma can prevail and the hosts and under 4.5 goals attracts at 4-6 with Coral.
Cologne v Borussia Dortmund
Dortmund are looking to make it two Bundesliga away wins from two since returning from the winter break.
Edin Terzic’s men finished 2023 in stuttering fashion but eased to a 3-0 victory at Darmstadt last weekend and should prove too strong for second-bottom Cologne, who have one win in nine and drawn a blank in three of the last four.
A Dortmund win pays 8-11 at Bet365.
Young Boys v Grasshoppers
Swiss Super League leaders Young Boys return from the winter shutdown seeking a fourth straight win.
Their unbeaten run at home in the league stretches way back to March 2022 and that presents a daunting challenge for eighth-place Grasshoppers.
The visitors have suffered three away defeats in four, conceding at least twice in all three losses, and Young Boys and over 1.5 goals should oblige at 4-6 with Ladbrokes.
