THERE’S a pivotal O Classico showdown in Portugal tonight with the top two going head to head as Porto face Benfica.
There’s little to separate these fierce rivals with Porto just a point ahead and their meetings tend to be tight affairs with eight of the last nine going under 2.5 goals.
Porto have the distraction of Wednesday night’s Champions League second leg against Roma looming large and would likely settle for a point while Benfica would be happy to avoid defeat at a ground where they’ve won just once in the last 12 league visits.
The last three league head-to-heads at the Dragao Stadium have mustered a total of one goal and two draws. A cagey start is in the offing, so I’m happy to take Betway‘s 21-20 for a half-time stalemate which has landed in seven of eight league meetings.
Add Milan to leapgrog city rivals Inter into third in Serie A with victory at home to Sassuolo at 8-15 with Boylesports.
Gennaro Gattuso’s side have hit form with three straight league wins and just one defeat in 13 while Sassuolo are without victory in four straight away games.
Final call is Dutch side Vitesse and over 1.5 goals (at 8-13 with Ladbrokes) when they host bottom club NAC Breda. Vitesse are unbeaten in nine at home, winning six, and Breda are without victory on the road, picking up just one point in their last six and failing to score in four in a row.
