With Liverpool, Spurs, Man City and Newcastle all at 1/2 or shorter to win it’s going to be a tough week for punters to find value in the Premier League.
That four team acca pays just over 7/2 but it doesn’t come without risk.
Best bet could be at Craven Cottage where seasoned top-flighters Fulham take on the league’s new boys, Luton. The Hatters have yet to pick up a point and have conceded three and four goals in their two away matches. A Fulham win pays 4/6 but you can boost that to 20/21 by adding Marco Silva’s side to score two to or more.
On Thursday we highlighted Swindon Town’s scoring exploits so far this season. They’ve hit 20 in 6 games, making them the most prolific in the country at this stage. Evergreen Charlie Austin is plying his trade with the Robins and he can help us towards three or more goals against a Walsall side who’s matches are averaging over 2.5 goals per game.
Wrexham aren’t far behind Swindon on the goalscoring front and no-one has been more entertaining to watch than the Dragons. Their matches are averaging 4.57 goals. Visitors Grimsby might not be so prolific but and they’ve only had one Over 2.5 match this term – hopefully another today.
In the Scottish Premiership St Johnstone and Rangers kick things off in Perth with the visitors desperate to bounce back from defeat against Celtic with a win.
Captain James Tavernier is so often the driving force for the Gers and he’s 7/1 to net first at McDiarmid Park and 15/8 to score anytime.
Celtic host newly promoted Dundee. Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers kept the doubters quiet with that win at Ibrox but memories will be lingering of an uninspiring 0-0 draw with St Johnstone in the last home game.
The Hoops haven’t hit top gear yet this season and if they can get an early breakthrough today they could notch a few against Tony Docherty’s men.
Over three first half corners for Celtic appeals at 4/5 as does the 13/8 for over four.
Ross County have won two and lost two so far but the two defeats have come against Celtic and Rangers so they’ll be delighted to have taken six points from their opening four games.
They’ve plenty of attacking options and look a good proposition to beat an unpredictable Livingston side at 11/8.
Dundee Utd and Raith Rovers lead the way at the top of the Champions and should both win at home today. The Double pays 9/5.
We’ve flagged up Stirling Albion a few times this season and they’ve already been backed to win at Annan who are second bottom of the table but are still backable at 7/5.
Goals should be guaranteed at Falkirk who host Queen of the South. There’s been a whopping 22 goals scored in the Doonhamers’ last five matches and the Bairns aren’t short of firepower either. Over 2.5 is prices at 13/20 while Over 3.5 is 13/8.
Montrose can take advantage of struggling Edinburgh City’s form. The side from the capital are pointless after five games and were knocked out of the cup by Lowland League side East Kilbride. The home win is 4/6.
