Hull to score 2+
With Peterborough not in action today league leaders Hull City can put some daylight between themsleves and Posh with a win over Oxford Utd.
The Tigers have scored 18 in their last seven matches and managed two more in six of those. They’re top scorers in League 1 with Mallik Wilks and Josh Magennis responsible for over half (31) of their 59 goals so far.
Opponents Oxford don’t concede many though and have only let in three in their last six despite only winning once so we’re counting on Hull’s attacking prowess over any defensive frailties.
Hearts to score 2+ Goals
Hearts have a laboured a bit in recent weeks but they’re still by far the best team in the Scottish Championship and a return to the top flight is now in sight. They’re due to hand out another beating to someone and it could be Ayr United that are on the end of it today.
The Jambos have scored three or in half their games at Tynecastle this season and in truth in should be more. They won 5-3 against Ayr earlier in the season.
Ayr’s new boss David Hopkin’s main priority will be to keep the Honest Men up but he won’t be counting on taking much from Edinburgh today.
Dundee v Arbroath – Over 2.5 Goals
No goals acca would be complete without Dundee at the moment. They just cannot seem to keep a clean a sheet, nor stop scoring at the other end. 14 of their 17 matches in the Championship have seen both teams score, while 12 of them have gone Over 2.5 Goals, including their last five so it’s surprise to see this selection as big as evens.
Visitors Abroath suffered their first defeat in nine in 4-2 loss to Queen of the South last week so will be no pushovers and could get on the scoresheet here to help us get over the 2.5 goals line.
Wolfsburg to score 2+
Defeat at Hoffenheim last weekend end Wolfsburg nine-match unbeaten run that has taken them to third in the Budesliga but they should bounce back today against the doomed Schalke.
The bottom club have shipped 61 goals this season, 17 more than any other club and conceded 2 or more in 17 of their 24 matches.
Wolfsburg haven’t been particularly prolific but we should expect them to win handsomely at home today.
AZ v Twente – Over 2.5 Goals
20 of AZ’s 25 Eredivisie games have seen Over 2.5 Goals scored making them the most entertaining team to watch (we’re not counting Ajax who’s stats are skewed by a 13-0 win over VVV!).
They’re in good scoring form at the moment too, hitting 12 in their last four.
Visitors Twente’s away matches average well over 2.5 goals at 3.17 per match and there’s a good history of goals in the fixture with 33 goals scored in the last 10 meetings and eight of those seeing three goals or more.
