Football action is thin on the ground but we’ll give things a go in Norway and Ireland today.
Anyone who follows the Gambla Betting Podcasts will have a keen grasp on things in Eliteserien thanks to insights from Greg and David. One of this week’s teams that catch the eye are Stromsgodset who had been on a good run of form prior to the international break.
They’re unbeaten in seven, including a draw with champions Bodo/Glimt and a win over the then-league-leaders Viking, and they beat this evening’s opponents, Sarpsborg, 5-0 when the sides met back in September. Sarps have lost four of their last five and all their wins this season have come against teams in the bottom half of the table. Therefore, Stromsgodset look a bit over-priced at 16/5 to win, 5/6 on the Double Chance market and 2/1 Draw No Bet.
Bodo/Glimt haven’t got going this season and are dwelling in 8th place. The break may done them some good and they could hardly have picked a better fixture to get back to winning ways than against bottom side Kristiansund. The visitors have won the last seven meetings between the side and although they’re short enough at 4/6 they should get the job done for Kjetil Knutsen.

In Ireland it could pay to back goals when Sligo Rovers and Finn Harps meet. Rovers’ leaky defence has seen them concede in each of their last nine, all of which have ended with both teams scoring. Finn Harps aren’t particularly defensively sound either. The team that sits second bottom of the table have manage just three clean sheets in 19 League of Ireland matches so far. BTTS is 19/20 at Bet365.
In the second tier Cork City lead the way and they can claim another three points at Longford Town at 7/10. The hosts sit in fourth but have won just once against teams currently in the top half of the table in nine attempts. Cork boast the best away record in the division and are unbeaten in all 14 league games since the second week of the season.
