The Denver Broncos will be up against it this Sunday when they face the Super Bowl-chasing New Orleans Saints.
On an average week, the Saints would have been the favourites for this tie, but they are now massively so with Denver facing the prospect of playing without a recognised quarterback.
Broncos quarterback Jeff Driskel tested positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, meaning fellow quarterbacks Drew Lock, Brett Rypien and Blake Bortles were deemed as close contacts.
All four of them will now watch the game from home, leaving practice squad wide receiver Kendall Hinton to fill in as QB.
Hinton played quarterback in high school, but he has never played a game in the NFL before, and New Orleans seem nailed on even without Drew Brees.
New Orleans are 25/27 to cover the -15.5 handicap, and with a record of 8-2, they should things very much go their way at the Superdome.
Titans and Colts Braced for AFC South Battle
With the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars pretty much out of the playoff race this season, the battle for the AFC South title should be decided between the Tennessee Titans and Indianapolis Colts.
The Colts are the 5/8 favourites for the match, with Titans priced at 7/5.
With so much on the line, both teams are bound to show signs of nerves at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The Titans lost the previous meeting this season in Week 10 in which they combined for 51 points. This week’s spread is on the high side again at 51.5, and that would require both teams to be at their very best.
The pressure should get to one of these offences and under 51.5 in the over/under market is worth taking on at 10/11.
Dolphins Have What It Takes to Punish the Jets
The New York Jets remain the only team in the NFL without a win this season, and they appear destined for the number one pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
Adam Gase’s men have let too many of their playmakers leave in recent months, and they have struggled on both sides of the line of scrimmage.
Sam Darnold is back for the Jets, but surprisingly, they looked the best they have all season with backup Joe Flacco calling the shots.
They play divisional rivals Miami Dolphins this weekend, and former Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick is set to start. He still has what it takes to compete at the highest level, and Miami go into the game knowing they can beat the Jets easily.
Miami won 24-0 in the first meeting this season, and they should cover the -7.5 handicap without breaking sweat.
