FaZe Clan are in a very good spot ahead since they just need to finish the upcoming Fall invitational inside the top 11 to clinch a place at the RLCS Fall Split Major. But as one of the best Rocket League esports teams in North America, FaZe will surely want to reach much higher.
Jason “Firstkiller” Corral and co. will kick off the RLCS NA Fall Invitational with a clash against Knights, who have managed just six RLCS points this season with a ninth-11th place finish at Fall Open. That was also Knight’s only notable achievement of 2022 as they continue to struggle to break into the upper echelons of the NA Rocket League scene.
Besides their lack of tournament titles, the Knights also enter this event in a very shaky form. They have won just two of their last six outings and are on a three-game losing streak against Complexity (2-3), Rogue (1-3), and Nefarious (1-3), who bested them during NA Regional 2 Fall Cup Closed Qualifier.
FaZe last met with Knights in May, during Nissan Classic, when they won (3-1), and even though the teams haven’t met since, it’s not difficult to say how this match will go. Knights might steal one match, but knowing how good FaZe Clan are, a 3-0 sweep seems far more likely.

FURIA and Shopify Rebellion last met at the start of October, when Shopify Rebellion caused an upset and won 3-2. Since then, Michael “memory” Moss and his crew have played 11 official matches and did okay (6-5) for their standards, losing only to Version1, FaZe Clan, Team AXLE, and Spacestation Gaming.
Yet, FURIA have produced more convincing results over the same stretch with just four losses across 12 outings (8-4), and even those came against Version1, G2 Esports, OpTic Gaming, and Spacestation Gaming. But even though FURIA have been playing well, they have dropped matches against Luminosity, Schuzz Esports, and Complexity.
FURIA look stronger than Shopify Rebellion, but we wouldn’t price them at $1.16 to win this match. They lost this bout a month ago and have not shown much more than Shopify Rebellion ahead of this clash. A handicap bet on the underdogs isn’t a bad choice at the offered RLCS odds, but there’s more value backing Shopify Rebellion on the moneyline.

G2 Esports have accumulated 15 RLCS points so far this season, which is good for fifth place in the North American RLCS standings. Most of their points came from Fall Open, where G2 placed third-fourth, but they couldn’t show up at the Fall Cup, where G2 crashed out of the group stage after going 2-0.
Likewise, Dignitas did not impress last month, as they crashed out of the Fall Cup group stage with a 2-3 record, with wins against 26 RISING (3-0) and Team AXLE (3-0) and three defeats against Version1 (2-3), NRG (1-3), and OpTic Gaming (1-3).
The head-to-head shows 4-3 in favour of G2 Esports; however, the teams have not met once since DreamHack Pro Circuit Montreal 2019. So instead, we can focus on the squads’ recent form, which seems fairly evenly matched, granted G2 had to face tougher teams.
G2 Esports have a higher ceiling and should win, but Dignitas have proven to be very resilient and are able to force a close series.

NRG are priced as $1.61 favourites for this match, which doesn’t sound too wrong, but we would argue that they deserve to be even bigger favourites. NRG are not one of NA’s top teams, but they performed well at the Fall Cup last month, when they reached the semifinals with just two losses – against the eventual champions Version1, and FURIA, who nearly beat V1 (3-4) in the quarterfinals.
Their next opponents, Team AXLE, didn’t even reach the playoffs since they crashed out of the group stage with a 1-3 record. AXLE’s only tournament victory came against Shopify Rebellion (3-2) and they forced Gen.G to five games (2-3) in the final round of the group stage, for which they deserve praise. Still, that result is no indication of Team AXLE being able to upset bigger teams.
NRG lost this match (0-3) at the end of September, but as evident from Team AXLE’s result since then, it was a complete fluke. NRG are far more talented and should win this match with some to spare.
