ESB’s esports betting predictions for Wednesday, December 8, include the opening matches of the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2021-22 Fall Split Major. Here are our selections for Ground Zero Gaming vs Team Envy, Dignitas vs Tokyo Verdy Esports, and FaZe Clan vs Team Vitality.

RLCS Betting Odds: | GZ $2.16 at Betway | Envy $1.65 at Betway |

Team Envy are priced at $1.65 to defeat Ground Zero Gaming, and while those odds aren’t high, they are still too big. Team Envy are North America’s fourth seed, which may not seem too inspiring, but we must emphasise their recent showings.
In October, at the second Regional Fall Event, Team Envy made it to the semi-finals but lost against the eventual champions, The General NRG (3-4). In the third regional competition, Envy won against NRG in the semis (4-1) but lost the finals against G2 Esports (3-4, 4-3, 3-4). So while Envy haven’t won a single regional tournament, they were beaten only by two of the strongest teams in the world.
Ground Zero Gaming won the RLCS Season X Oceanic Championship in June and have since collected two silver medals and a gold medal from the three 2021/22 season OCE regional events. Although solid results, we expect the quality gap between the regions to show on Wednesday.
Ground Zero have the tools to put up a fight, but it’s doubtful that we will see an upset.
Team Envy to win
DIGNITAS vs TOKYO VERDY ESPORTS RLCS BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |

RLCS Betting Odds: | Dignitas $1.22 at Betway | TVE $3.99 at Betway |

Dignitas enter this tournament as Europe’s second seed, proving that this is a very talented squad. Even though Dignitas had an underwhelming showing in November at the third regional event, where they crashed out of the quarter-finals, they still deserve to be viewed as a dark horse to go all the way.
Unfortunately, we can’t say the same for Tokyo Verdy Esports, the weakest team at the Fall Major – as indicated by the outright betting markets, where they are paying $37.00 for the title. Even though Verdy haven’t lost a single tournament since June 2021, they have yet to attend an international event.
Dignitas shouldn’t be losing matches like this, and we don’t see how they can drop more than one game.
Dignitas -1.5 goals
FAZE CLAN vs VITALITY RLCS BETTING & MATCH DETAILS |
|
---|---|
RLCS Betting Odds: | FaZe $1.55 at Betway | Vitality $2.35 at Betway |
When: | December 8, 2021 at 20:00 CET |

Jason “Firstkiller” Corral and Braxton “Allushin” Lagarec will make their RLCS LAN debut on Wednesday when FaZe Clan take on Team Vitality. FaZe enter the tournament as North America’s third seed, while Team Vitality are Europe’s fifth seed, so based on the teams’ ratings, it’s fair to assume FaZe’s chances of winning are greater.
You could also say that FaZe’s roster is more talented than Vitality’s, but there is one thing the Rocket League betting sites seem to have forgotten: experience. We don’t know for sure how Firstkiller and Allushin will respond to the pressure of playing on LAN, but we can assume they will need some time to get comfortable.
If FaZe Clan manage a strong start, they should be fine, but we wouldn’t bet on them until we see them in action, especially not at the offered RLCS betting odds. A smaller position on over 4.5 maps is a solid pick, but we like Vitality on the moneyline better.
Team Vitality to win
