Manchester United are back in action on Wednesday night, hoping to put pressure on the top four, but if their recent form is anything to go by, then they may struggle at plucky Brentford.
The Red Devils are still within touching distance of the Champions League places, but the atmosphere surrounding the club does not match their league position.
Their recent displays under Ralf Rangnick have left a lot to be desired, and they will hope to change their fortunes against when they visit the capital to face the Bees.
Wednesday’s game is one of two taking place in the Premier League, with Leicester hosting Tottenham at the King Power Stadium at 19:30.
Resurgent Leicester Can Add to Spurs’ Woes
After narrowly missing out on the top four last season, Leicester were hoping to carry on where they left off, but their campaign has been a struggle to date.
Numerous injuries throughout the squad have derailed Brendan Rodgers’ plans, but the Foxes appear to be on the up in recent weeks.
Since losing 6-3 to Manchester City in the league, Leicester have beaten Liverpool in the league and smashed Watford 4-1 in the FA Cup.
Thankfully for Rodgers, their injuries are easing, with James Justin, Patson Daka, Luke Thomas, Caglar Soyuncu, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Boubakary Soumare and Ayoze Perez all set to return on Wednesday.
The same cannot be said for Spurs, though; they will be without Son Heung-Min, Cristian Romero, Eric Dier and Sergio Reguilon for Wednesday’s battle in the midlands.
Leicester, 20/29 to win in the double chance market, have won two of their last four games against Spurs, and a home win looks a reasonable price at 41/20.
Ronaldo’s Return Timely for Red Devils
Manchester United still have time to mount a top-four charge, but fixtures like Wednesday’s against Brentford are matches they need to be winning.
The Red Devils are not the force they once were, and they have struggled in the final third, despite the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho, Edinson Cavani and Bruno Fernandes all wearing the club’s colours.
Ronaldo missed the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa at the weekend, but his return could be vital for Rangnick’s men.
Brentford have no new injury concerns, but coach Thomas Frank is still without six players due to injury and international duty.
While United have yet to show signs of consistency under Rangnick, they are unbeaten in five on the road, and an away win appeals at 4/5.
Ronaldo is 6/5 to score anytime, while the Portugal international can be backed to score two or more at 27/4.
